I still feel really upset that I am not feeding him, but I did do it for over 12 months, I just wanted the stopping to be more gradual really. BUT on the bright side, he is more chilled out generally now,and he is eating so much more solids and drinkoing more cows milk. The pead doctor he saw routinely for his eczema was very happy with his progress and said he didn't really see why I was beating myself up about stopping.

He is eating a lot more- and needs calcium rich foods - and so is ds1 - so our food bill is going to have to go up by about £5 per week I think. Ho hum, life goes on!

Yes, I agree with alchemilla, 12 months is great. I know it's not easy finishing though, I was pretty upset too. Are you planning any more babies? We're probably done now and I just want time to stop and keep him snuggly and newborn

well done on getting to 12 months!
I fed both my girls until 11 months/14 months.
Like you I wanted to cut down gradually but it seemed to just stop suddenly. They both mostly fed at night and then suddenly started to sleep through so that was that :( I still feel upset as it was such a close time. I think its mainly the hormones.
    Glad he is doing well.

Thanks everyone for making me feel better, its nice to know others are feeling the same way too. Especially tootoo hope you are feeling ok too x

I feel some moneysaving focusing coming on to help me forget my blues.

I am also a bit worried that I got a speeding ticket today. Driving to the park. Just another reminder to literally slow down in my own life and simplify things.

  • I really need to slow down too. It is sad to give up bf, but you have given him a really good start in life.
Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D

Had à lovely teachers in industry day where we visited a local company. It was really good and has made me want to really work on ohs business. I was also struck by how content the staff seemed and how they werent constantly dealing with conflict and suffering abuse. I know the grass is always greener etc. But it has really confirmed to me that there is more to life for me than a teaching job, and that this is the right time to leave teaching for me. ( not the desired affect suggested by the government !!) Also it look as if our house sale will go through in about 3 weeks and we will move into rented for a while before moving to our dream house by the sea in scotland early december. Exciting times !!
