  • Just in from work and no access to the internet, sorry for the delay.

Shegirl - Before I give it up entirely I will have a look to see what options Sky can give me. The problem I had with them before was that removing one package removed a discount from another and I ended up paying the same amount of cash.

Macman - Having a look at the bill there was 37 bucks spent on calls so I will be looking around for another option and have a word with the worst offender. One of the guys at work mentioned the Humax so I'm looking into that just now. Not sure if I can get multiroom if I buy 2 boxes.

Vax2002 - lol... I've tried. Sometimes feel as though I'm smacking my head against a brick wall

Penryn - Thanks, I will have a look at that

Macman - I'm not sure how to tell what exchange I am on or what Sky Connect is (checking it now)

Put your phone no. into samknows and it will tell you the exchange and the LLU operators available.
Calls-but calls to what type of numbers? If to UK landlines then you need to be on an Anytime package-less than a fiver a month for 24/7 calls up to one hour.
If you have 2 PVR's you will need a quad feed from your LNB-f you already have Sky Multiroom, you will have this already.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

That is very expensive. I pay £29 a month for the HD entertainment channels, I get free broadband and Sky Talk for which I pay £5.
  • I'm not sure if I can get FreeSat.

If you can get SKY, you can get Freesat, via the same dish.
  • You must be having old package and continuing the same. Sky has various new offers which are much more affordable. Also they are offering some discount coupons also. Simply drop your existing scheme and check out the latest plans with SKY.

That's true.I stopped my service for around a year,I think, and was paying the same then as I am now but only for the old entertainment package, plus movies 1&2,music and kids. For the same amount now I get entertainment extra which includes lifestyle and discovery channels among others that weren't included and the kids and music are included in that package rather than being seperate additions
If women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?
  • If they're anything like VM, ringing up and saying you are cancelling, will result in you being put through to their "customer retentions department", who will offer you a better deal.

2 LLU Ops in Largs - Sky and TalkTalk

I'm going to give Sky a call over the weekend and try to persuade the wife that this is a good idea. Everyone I've spoken to said that they missed sKy initially but not for long. Now, they're perfectly happy without it.

It will be interesting to see what they offer. I'll update everyone when I get a result.

I missed TV, for about a week, but now I wouldn't watch it if it were free.
