VENT Ma Kellys bar, Blackpool

It would appear that Ma Kellys are at fault. The least they could do is issue a statment.
They have two choices.
1. Admit they are prejudice scum (Yes)
Then they can have at least have the guts to advertise that their torrid little dive does not welcome x y and z (in this case military). This way Folk like myself can choose to boycott the place if I so wish.
2. Admit they were wrong, issue an apology. Then fire who ever was responsible.
In either case this should be reported to the Blackpool Gazette, though i feel they may not be that interested (They are a lazy paper):A:jLibertas Supra Omnia:j:A0 -
I was one of the mums in the party of 18 and Ma Kellys were out of order to answer your question theres nothing MORE to this other than being told NO ARMY IN HERE !!!! By a Polish doorman we were not abusive in ANY way but they were !! The truth is they dont want Army in there bar !!!! FULLSTOP .......
No army? or not British army? In my experience groups of soldiers are on the same page as groups of sailors for their behaviour in bars, I don't hold that against them, their job dictates that they live in a certain way and obviously when they are back home this is going to affect them, you can't just switch things on and off. Could this be the reason they wont let army in? That said it sounds like it was a mixed group rather than a alrge crowd of rowdy soldiers.Bought, not Brought0 -

Possibly. Somebody told the bouncer "no soldiers allowed in" and he applied the rule across the board without thinking that a few lads with their families are nowhere near the same risk as half a dozen on their own and already a few pints down.Could this be the reason they wont let army in? That said it sounds like it was a mixed group rather than a alrge crowd of rowdy soldiers.I need to think of something new here...0
