They said they lost their jobs, so couldn't afford the repayments in their first post, so I'm assuming that that is when it was passed on.
How did it end up with CRS in the first place (2 years ago?) if they didn't stop making payments then?
Several questions like this have been put to the OP which they have not answered but still expect everyone to give them advice despite only giving half the facts.0 -

The OP is in trouble and has obviously been ripped off: be thankful that you are not vulnerable to this kind of abuse and either help or keep silent.
It's Not pleasant what he did to his Nan.
When the paperwork came back with the Nan as the main borrower, the OP should have contacted the loan company straightaway and corrected the situation. Not let the loan be continued on this basis. They wanted the car at all cost with no regards to what it might mean to theirNan in the future. The future is now here and an 82 year old women will be made to pay, if she owns her own home you bet the loan company will try to apply a charging order on it.
The OP states that they are unemployed, are they registered disable, if not how about find any kind of employment to help the Nan out, what about benefit payments, could they not make the sacrifice and make an arrangement to pay as much of this as they can towards the outstanding debt.
What really bothers me is that from a £10k car, the OP has nothing to show, No Car, but an 82 year old woman being hounded for money, this is simply NOT FAIR.

I am beyond confused, but trying to make some sort of sense of it.
Even though the OP had good intentions to pay the loan in full themselves, as has been proven with losing the job, you cannot tell what is going to happen in the future. That is the point of a guarantor, you lose your job and cannot pay, they then move onto your guarantor. So even if they hadn’t screwed up by putting your Nan as the person taking the loan, they would STILL come after her the moment you stopped paying.
I agree with what has been said before, putting your 82 year old Nan down for the guarantor is verging on completely disgusting, you need to think of worst case scenario, what sort of pressures would it place on her if some eventuality happened and you couldn’t pay it.
You should have got it sorted out AS SOON AS you noticed the problem.
Also was the car in finance, or was it a loan, I don’t think I seen an answer to that question. If it was finance, then the car WAS NOT yours to swap with someone for a smaller/different car
What you really ought to do now if get your Nan to contact the DCA and give you full authority on the account, both in writing and by telephone. Once this has been done, you really need to sit down and write down ALL your nans income and outgoings, gather up relevant proofs or outgoings if need be, and present them to the DCA again reiterating your offer of repayment. I will look through my computer tonight if you want to find one of the letters I sent to a DCA for my partner, got them to accept an offer of £1 a month for a debt of £1759.
I made a point of stating on the letter that although £1 was what could realistically be afforded, I may be open to some negotiating, but they didn’t even bother with that, just accepted the offer.
