Back on the subject, how long did it take to hear from Nationwide after the agreement in principle ?

I applied on the 18th May and was quoted 9.9% and £2800 and have heard nothing since. No rush but wondering if this is a normal amount of time to wait ? If yes i'll wait, if no i'll give thema buzz. Thanks

Thanks, Just called them and my account was opened on the 21st May and they said it will take up to 10 days from this date to get the card/pin/account details through.

As an aside, it was nice to call them on a freephone number and talk to a UK call centre. Might move my current account over. :)

Rule of thumb if you have a credit card with the same bank as its on their system watch the offers drop off your online banking.
I am with Barclays was getting PRE-approved loan offers & credit card offers all the while then took out a BC & a very small loan and haven't seen nothing since, might apply for lloyds.

Great! We have a Flex account but only used as a secondary account and our Mortgage. Prefer to keep my main account with Lloydstsb.

Not so in my case. I have banked with Barclays for over 5 years, have had a BC for just over 2 years and an OD for 4 years. In all this time I have still received pre-approved offers to increase my OD, apply for a (another) BC as well as get a loan.

Hmm, I don't have a landline so can't get past the first page of the application! I was turned down by Barclaycard about 6 months ago - wonder if that was the reason there too?

I have banked with them 18 years and Never knew you could apply and have 2 barclaycards, I have the platinum and never received another offer asking me to apply for a simplicity card.

You have the platinum CC and you get asked to apply for what barclaycard on your PRE offers???

Under my pre-approved offers it just says that based on the information they have at present I have been preselected to apply for a BC.

Of course being preselected is no guarantee of acceptance.

I was given a quote of £1200 with a 19.9% APR, and got rejected. :(
