Otherwise all automatics now are pretty solid, you've given too many loose variables to work with, only thing I'd say to avoid is the Ford Durashift (Durash*t) or whatever their called.
But like I said, walk if it's going to cost £10 a day to insure a car.
Not really an option when everything is at least 20 miles away and there is a bus that goes past the house every 2 hours!
Will probably just have to try and get my mum to get another Corsa!0 -

It's disgraceful. I have a 17 year old son who passed his test in February. To insure him for my Mazda2 would be about £5k (for the year;)).0 -
I started driving in 1991 @ 17 and my first car was a pale blue Talbot sunbeam with a vinyl roof and very nice velour interior, cost £350 off a mate and insurance was about £500. Happy days.
I now drive a Rover 600 and it cost me £500 and insurance is £350. Still happy days.0 -

Yeah, because a nineteen year old can decide that for her parents can't she..0 -
£300 a month for insurance for a woman does seem extortionate - that's £10 a DAY! Are you sure you can't get it for less than this? I pay less than £200 a year on a new Hyundai i30.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0

I am hoping my mum will be able to get it discounted, if not will probably have to look at another car as can't afford to 75% of that every month!0 -
My Mrs has the auto 1.6 Nissan Note and it's a brilliant little car. Goes really well, really nippy and well specced. not sure what you've driven but you aren't going to get too much faster if you want some practicality.
Also, likely to be a bit cheaper on the insurance.
5t.What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?0
