You're in my thread. I'm the OP (original poster) and this series of comments is my thread.

Basically just ignore it is the gist, they can't and won't do anything. Do not engage them in conversation (don't reply, don't call them, ignore them completely) and they'll threaten you for a few months then move on to their next victim.
  • Oh ok. Yeh i think i will just leave it then. Thanks :)

it wont go away though, you will recieve a series of threat o grams through the post, no matter what or who from if related to the fake ticket you have its safe to ignore, though you suprise me by taking this so cool, most people who recieve these for the first time are really frightened/scared by this?

    OK, first things first...
    it is not a fine!

private companys can not issue fines or penaltys.
read through some of the posts on here and you will soon realise that you were nearly another victim of the PPC scam, secondly tell all your freinds colleagues and any one else about what these so called parking companys are up to.

I'm not exactly carm, I am worried but I'm not going to pay it when I feel I am in the right. My husband has had a similar parking ticket and never paid it and just accepted it. I have only been driving since July last year so I'm really annoyed that something so stupid has resulted in a fine

Please stop thinking of it as, and calling it, a fine. :)

Only councils, the police, train operators and Transport for London can impose legally enforceable fines or penalties.

Private companies or individuals can't. PPCs call their tickets “Parking Charge Notices”, not “Penalty Charge Notices”. In law, they’re called “speculative invoices”.
The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life. :)

But it HASN'T resulted in a fine. It is not a fine!

It's a scam, a fake PCN which impersonates authority. Why not watch the Watchdog clip in our second-to-top sticky thread to see how a solicitor explains this con and what to do with any fake PCN?

The thread you want also has pictures of the whole letter chain to expect so you can just play snap with each matching threatogram letter. The thread you want is called 'PPC letters & threats'.

If unsure how to see the sticky threads they are always at the top of the forum board. You get back to the parking forum board with just one click, same as on any forum at all. See my signature, try it now and you will soon be whizzing around the forum reading various threads that catch your eye and checking out the sticky thread I mentioned (just don't bother to read the top one called 'park right' as that's a pointless old rambling discussion).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

TCP, in spite of being full of bluff and bluster, never take anyone to Court. They and their cronies will absolutely promise it, but they never, ever make good on the promise.

So all you can look forward to is a few pieces of rather second-rate toilet paper, after which they will slink off to see if they can find someone else to con.

Very well done for telling Asda what you thought of them and for giving them the boot. If more people did that it would be TCP that would get the boot, as the retailer would realise they are a parasite that achieves nothing and costs them customers.

Why not go the whole way and send your opinion to Asda head office along with copies of the junk mail you get sent? They need to know what is being done in their name even if the local manager is too stupid to care.

And, just to confirm, bailiffs will NEVER arrive. They can only be called in AFTER you go to court and you lose... which of course will not happen for the reason stated in Paragraph 1. TCP are Scots and are too canny to waste time and money on doomed court cases.
