Oooh, I love threads like this...

I was looking at this dress tonight but can't decide if I like it because I have pmt and my fashion sense goes out the window or if it really is nice.

I can't do pics but here is the link if anyone is able to magic the link into a picture http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10001_10001_008010523460_-1?breadcrumb=Home~Women~Dresses

I am short, very curvy, big boobed and not keen on my legs so thought this would be a compromise and would involve flashing a bit of leg rather than whole legs. Any thoughts? I am erring towards this potentially being a pmt purchase that will be regretted after TOTM but very willing to be persuaded otherwise.

The other thing swaying me is that it is half price today and there is another code for £5 off so I could get it for £45

I thought wow when saw the front, but didn't like the back!

I'm starting this thread as a forum for honest and impartial advice on outfits that require a second opinion before investing in, considering the lasting value, versatility of the items amongst relevent other factors. My suggestion is that any useful detail about bodyshape, colouring and occasion be included in the post to get the most constructive comments, as well as the details of where the item can be found in case others might wish to buy.

    I'll start the ball rolling:
    5052765968786?hei=485&wid=485&resmode=sharp&op_usm=1.1,0.5,0,0&defaultimage=default_details_George_rd
Orange V Neck Jumpsuit, George (Asda), £20.00

First impressions, I think this looks stunning, would suit my shape and colouring well and would be great for summer parties.

Negatives - the vibrant colour means the outfit rocks that Guantanamo vibe and it is 100% polyester...expect sparks to fly. On balance, it's a no. Opinions?

Looks fab but I wouldn't wear polyester!

Wish i could pull off jumpsuits but im too short (5ft) and too busty so would look very frumpy!.
    Playsuits however i love!

Ahh so I'm not imagining things! I'm a very busty woman and I have sworn for years that my boobs make certain styles look seriously frumpy!I'm only 30,it's not fair!!!

Vfm4 it's not something I would wear (couldn't pull off the colour for a start) but I think it could look gorgeous on the right woman and you could have a lot of fun accessorising it.Good price too.go for it!

My current dilemma is this jacket, which is currently hanging on my wardrobe door. I bought it at 25% discount, but can't decide whether to keep or not.

Disregarding the price, am just not sure whether I'm going to get the use out of it or not, although I know I can wear it for evening over a dress and heels as well as day time; but my day time look is very casual, and I rarely wear a coat when I go out in the evening. Will it date or is it a wardrobe classic?

Lovely and sexy from the front, not too keen on the back. With curves and being busty you'd look uber sexy in it!

    Where would you wear it?

Also, does stacking codes work on Debenhams? There's a 10% off code too that may be worth trying with the £5 one, just in case!

If you've got endless legs and really glossy hair (golden blonde perm like a charlies angel preferably :D) that would look really cool. Or maybe a bit fancy dress, but still cool!

ali-t with a cleavage that dress could be a bit Big Fat Gypsy Weddings imo. Another short busty one here, either look frumpy or a page 3 wannabe, can't win though I do think an hourglass or busty figure looks better in a tracksuit than others :rotfl:

Depends how much cleavage it would show.Could go two ways -stunningly sexy or seriously trasy!

I would have to give this one a no, unless you are superconfident about your body and are prepared to use this for a one-off occasion, as this is not a design classic. I would suggest that a petite Cheryl Cole figure might look good in this but not anyone with a few extra pounds. I'm also not keen on the back, it looks too much like a bra and would suggest that you're not swayed by the bargain factor as it won't stand up to fashion maths (cost divided by number of wears - I try to aim for under £10 for occasionwear, but everyone's threshold is different).

I don't think it will date, and it is a lovely shade and can see why you like it. Although it looks nice enough when displayed, it actually looks less impressive on the 5'10 and size 10 model. It will also take some maintenance to keep it looking spotlessly clean. Even at the price you bought it, I think it's expensive for a parka.

I'm really not liking this mini dress under a sheer long overskirt look, I think it looks a bit like a nightie.
