I was sat in my parents house

Guy on his drive reversed turned off his drive without looking behind and my 107 and did this

20f1f477-1.jpg

bumpers wrecked

wings wrecked

Chunk out of the headlight

Under wing is smashed in and touching the tyre, washer bottle that I'd just filled sploded

structure under the headlight looks pretty bent

back of the wing has been pushed onto the front of the drivers and damaged it slightly and cant be opened.

Admitted its all his fault

He hit a parked car

So 100/0 blame

I have all his details..

How it happened

107crashpic2.jpg

He claimed he did not see my car

However

I Emptied my car ready for it to be collected today

While there he came over and offered to let me see how poor the rearward visibility is

Mistake

It's shown to me that the WHOLE of my car would have been in full view in his drivers side mirror.

Issue

Some people are saying the insurance companies could get arsey and try to blame me a bit as I had two wheels on the pavement

There was loads of room to get a pram or wheelchair past though.

I would have parked there anyways, wheels on pavement or not.

    So what's your issue?

Leave it to his insurance to pay up.

You weren't moving, he is to blame. No blame can be attached to where you parked, car insurance claims would be chaos if that were the case.

Don't accept a credit hire courtesy car.

If someone had parked that in view of my house I might be tempted to do the same.

Ewww you chose that car AND that colour..

    :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

    :D

It gets worse though, You need to declare that for 5 years and its likely to put your premium up.

    what can I do?

Contact equity red star direct ? and tell albany assistance to stick their "help"?

Did your insurers put you on to them?

BTW, it is a fact that yellow is the safest colour of car you can have. Also it's handy when trying to find your car on a supermarket car park. :)

    Its the Brokers, A-Plan

Who sold me the equity red star policy.

Who put me in contact with albany assistance to deal with the claim.

I've not talked direct to equity red star.

Don't panic about Albany, have used them in a 100% TP fault claim and they were fine (apart from wanting hire car back at 4pm on a Friday and telling me 10 mins before).

In that case I would let them deal with it. Do you have legal protection?
