From a cleaning of the waste perspective, I definitely prefer World's Best - the grains are much finer and it is far easier to do the scoop, shake off the excess and put the waste in the nappy sack.

ha - you MUST try Golden Grey then, you gonna love it.....:P

after all I have tried OKO so it is only fair you try Golden Grey ;)

I agree that it look like a great litter, but...

...I can't use it! My Lulabelle has a thing about clay-based litters, and she'd probably eat it! I don't want her getting a blocked tummy! I think the World's Best is the "natural cat litter" alternative to Golden Grey in terms of its consistency and stuff :p

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Macius used to roll in it when I put fresh one in.. it was like very fine sand consistency, clumps absolutely brilliantly too and very little tracking.. just can not afford it... :(

Is OKO the same as "cat's best okoplus"? (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Litter-Cats-Best-Okoplus-Clumping/dp/B003ZGED68/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1337711330&sr=8-2)

I've been buying it for my cat almost since I got her. I think it's great except for the tracking issue. Have googled litter tray mat as you mentioned it and will probably order one. I am looking forward to hearing about the outcome of your very scientific, randomised, double blind experiment. :D

Yes, it is that litter - you can get 30L from Pet Supermarket for around the same price as that shown in your link, but with free delivery. I ordered some on Friday and it arrived today, which was fantastic, my only other order with them took ages :)

These are the mats I have, I got them from Zooplus - they do trap around 80%+ of the bits (though that is not an exact scientifically-calculated statistic :p)

Thanks for the tip. I had previously thought how a bath mat type thing would do the trick but didn't know these things existed! I've bought the same one as you posted. With (solid, reliable, evidence based) figures like that, how could I not?

We do these experiments quite often, including this very one. I think oko won for us. It has since been superceded by golden odour.

    Golden odour...who names these things?

Eit...re tracking, it seems to me the best litters gor smell, popularity and cost track. It is the pay off. I am dreaming of having a cat flap soon, with a litter tray just outside they can nip and use......

Oh no! I hope you like it! I always worry when people actually buy things I mention on here :rotfl:
