Buy one that pivots, between horizontal (landscape) display and vertical (portrait) display.

    Questions for the OP:

    * What is your budget? -if under £100, try this:
    http://www.ebuyer.com/369224-exdisplay-iiyama-prolite-e2208hds-2-22-lcd-dvi-d-monitor-ebr1-ple2208hds-b2

I have an Iiama 24" and am very happy with it, Iiama and Viewsonic are regarded as quality monitors.

    * What do you want to do with it? -computing, maybe also use as a 2nd TV (with a TV Freeview/Freesat Tuner card in the PC)

    * What inputs would you want? -eg, VGA, DVI, HDMI.

If your budget is over £100, try this:
    http://www.ebuyer.com/288957-iiyama-prolite-e2274hds-b1-22-lcd-full-hd-monitor-ple2274hd-b1

Please note that I am using E Buyer as a reference point: shopping around with those model numbers, may find them cheaper. But note that E Buyer, usually has free delivery on anything over £50:00. The 2nd model also has HDMI.
I think this job really needs
    a much bigger hammer.

I think robmar0se has missed the point, I offered up the GL2250 as a solution to the OP, presuming to use the more common understanding of an LED monitor, i.e LED backlight.

Post#6 he says 'No that's an LCD monitor (which it is), the LED equivalent is a BL2201PT'.

Then in post #17 he provides a link to BenQ and says that the GL2250 is also an LED monitor. So what was actually wrong with my first post?

    Make your mind up.

So to summarise, condensed specs from the BenQ website,

@ m5rcc The GL2250 (£92.09 delivered) is the newer version of the G2222hdl according to Amazon

An inexpensive 16:10 display with pivot, speakers, DisplayPort, proximity sensor and a function that reminds you to blink every so often? That's a rare beast indeed.

Sounds ideal for a business environment.

A bit of a generalisation,:). horses for courses etc.
I'm guessing the engineer in our site office would rather look at .dwg (AutoCAD) files on his 19" 4:3, a Viewsonic costing £50 from the local CEX. :D
