just wanting to get the computer up and running again.....not bothered about data recovery now... both disks ive tried now have opened up in deutch not sure whats going on....the only exe file on them is wwbmu...0

Have you tried putting the error code into google to see what it comes up with.If i could i would, but i cannot so i wont, but maybe one day i will.0

which model do you have? You holding down F10 at the beginning, straight after boot?
Even if you boot from a non-windows CD, then the question is what are you going to do next..
A chkdsk might help, but most boot disks can't do a great deal apart from write to NTFS, read event logs, get your files off, restore an old registry etc.
Don't you know anyone with an XP CD?

ill also have a phone around some friend see if anyof them have xp cd..
