I know debtworrier, I never had any choice over my dinners and ate what I was given with out any complaints coz I knew it was pointless. My parents never worried about us not eating enough the way I do and never did all sorts of fancy stuff to tempt the kids and certainly never had a kids cookbook! I wonder where it all went wrong? kids nowadays seem to eat far too much or not enough and nobody in between

well done Ms Spendalot, it certainly seems like youve pulled it together for the next week!

the only further advice I can give is could you use Bath foam as shwel gel. We did this and couldnt believe how much onger a big bottle of tescos own ( not value, the next one) bubble bath lasted as shower gel and was cheaper than shower gel! At the end of the day its all liquid soap!

I have to say I bought a big bottle of soap and glory shower gel for £3.99 I think, and I was shocked at myself for doing so but it's such good stuff I only use a tiny bit at a time and the bottle is only halfway empty after nearly a year and a shower every day. So I do think sometimes the dearer stuff is more economical in the long run. (My nana used to say 'if you buy cheap, you but twice' - which is true a lot of the time but we didn't have Lidl in those days!)

  • With regards to the weetos you can get own brand ones in Asda and Summerfield(sp) or take advantage of the BOGOF offers when they are in Tesco and Morrisons they are on offer about every 3 months (check sell by dates though) I know you have a small kitchen but they can be stored anywhere (under the bed etc) This is what I do because like you this is all my littles one will eat and I refuse to pay £2.42 for one box of cereal.

  • No unfortunately not, Tesco used to but then stopped for some reason. Watch out for those BOGOF offers then and stock up while you can.
