Well if we're talking about animals...I had the RSPCA on my doorstep this week. They'd had an anonymous (of course) report that I had a uncared for kitten with a matted coat ! I showed her my kitten-sleek and well-cared for and told her my other two cats couldn't be mistaken for kittens-just small dogs (they are both huge). She wanted to see them so I called and one deigned to come home-walked in like she owned the place all long haired fluffy gorgeousness and my biggest problem was stopping the RSPCA inspector from kidnapping her and taking her home.
No idea who called them-I'm on really good terms with all my neighbours but it wasn't nice-and what a waste of resources. Seems to have been a prank or spite as no-one around has seen a kitten in a state (I've been out and about asking).
Sorry for the highjack-just wanted to moan.

Well everyone I though that after all my carping on about him i'd introduce you to the love of my life and constant sanity maintainer. This is DP, aka Samson, I rescued him as a 4 month old foal at a market he was an absolute skeleton. He is now doing fab and makes me laugh constantly.
Sorry for the thread jack hypno, now i know how to attach photos i'm off to put him on my thread to!!
Have a great day all. xxdebt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0 -
Thats outrageous duchy!! esp as you take such good care of them! no wonder you are so angry!! we had the same with the rotts, constant complaints to the dog warden who said he'd rather walk them than his own dogs!! It is very hurtful and I am sorry you had that happen to you. xxdebt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0

Must admit it's a good thing I don't have a working printer or there would be a big poster up in the front garden complete with photos of my gorgeous three and a rant at the anonymous prat !!I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

i'd put up a rant at the anonymous prat anyway!!:D
Can never understand why if people have an issue they don't knock and have a "quiet" word. I know we would have preferred that to the wasted resources and i'm sure you would've happily shown people your cats to put their minds at ease. What a waste. xx:rolleyes:debt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0 -
Hi everyone
Hypno - take your time deciding how many days you want to work. I remember several times you have stated very eloquently your reasons for NOT wanting to work full time. If you can manage on 4 days a week, having one day for your clients, housework, other stuff might make a big difference in terms of stress and sanity.
Pania - aaaah! what a sweet, sweet pony!
Duchy - how horrible about the RSPCA - lucky the RSPCA man could easily see there was no problem with your cats.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
Hi [STRIKE]sexy one[/STRIKE] seaxwyn!
I agree with you about hypno's hours, pania's pony and duchy's dog (and cat) (I was just getting some alliteration going here)

Hi Seaxwyn, I hope you're having a good weekend.
I second everything you've just written for hypno, pania and duchy(great minds and all that:rolleyes: )so thanks for saving me having to type it all myself:rotfl:
I just wondered hypno when you have to give them your decision about your hours. Presumably they are not going to appoint anyone else as well even if you decided to opt for just 2 days a week. When you go in to discuss it with them could you not opt for the 4 days to start off(so you can see how it goes for you, you may hate it in reality:eek: ) with the option of making it full-time maybe in a couple of months? I know you won't want to 'rock the boat' with demands or anything, but they've changed the terms of the job after all. When your children are in Austria, maybe you could go full-time then, or else enjoy some much-needed time to yourself to concentrate on all your other interests . Just a thought.
Whatever you decide is sure to be the right thing for you and your family, so I'll shut up!0
