Thanks IA, bit of a roller coaster of a day really so it all feels quite strange!

I am trying not to be too excited about the job when I know the kids are very sad about Grandpa......quite a bizarre feeling!!

  • Well done on the job, hypno:beer: . We all knew you'd do it! I'm so pleased for you, and sad at the same time because of Grandpa. It must be very strange for you, wanting to dance round the room with joy after landing a super job but having to curb it because of the family's sadness(and yours too I guess).

I hope you won't be trying to 'shoe-horn' lots of therapy clients into the little 'free' time you have if the job is 4 days a week. And will you still be doing the PGCE and the current Monday Uni job too? Sounds like you're going to be mighty busy so please don't take on too much in the name of debt-clearing!

Big hugs to you and the family

P.s. Just seen your last post since I started this. Crikey, things are getting better and better. Do you mean you'll be teaching motivational skills etc? if so you could do that in your sleep, it will be a doddle after motivating us lot on here!

I agree with Imp, be realistic about how much you can take on, it has to be sustainable long-term so that you don't burn out. Do you think you will like the job enough to do it full time? And how would you feel about cutting back on the therapy work? How fantastic though - what a nice dilemma to have!

Well, the fab thing is that it will allow me to bring my therapy stuff in with me to the new job - that is why I wanted it sooooo much, because I can use all the things I do now, without the stress of full self employment.

After my accident, when I found myself working when I really wasn't fit to work, just because I needed the money, hinted at me that I needed to think of something different. This way, I can bring in the NLP and the coaching techniques and use them in the prison environment.

I will see some regular clients at home, for some of the less "taxing" therapies, but don't need to stress about whether or not I have got enough people booked in to pay the bills.

    I am very very excited!!

Just wanted to say well done on the job. I also recently got a job I really wanted and its such a good feeling after all that preparation.

Shame you are not teaching the prisoners money skills you could have used Martins guide that he says is suitable for teachers etc, that he taught to the group of students plus you have first hand life experience.

Money skills comes under life skills, and employment skills! So I CAN use Martin's guide.......off to look for it right now!
