Right, I am going to be boring and productive - going to do half an hour of ironing while watching "who's line is it anyway?" on telly!! Won't be long.....

Hiya hypno! deffo a chill weekend this weekend, as yesterday was such a long day it brought back my cold symptoms. Have to pay off some mortgage (oh that there were always such tasks!), library, dump charity shop stuff, everyday stuff in town, and hopefully I'll do some digging in the garden - my kind nephew dug some of it over in early summer, and I completely let it go to work on the bit that my mum would see when she stayed with me. And since *he* maybe coming down again, I *have* to get that bit back up to snuff and scatter the bark chips, pronto, or he'll not be pleased.

Are you waiting on tenterhooks for dd's text, or are you okay?

PS - what I'm currently trying to do is fill a Tesco online shop to my £50 per month - its really hard, how did I ever spend £100?

Tuesday is currently looking good for the housework challenge....gives me the rest of the week to be in order!!

KC, you sound like you are fairly busy this weekend too! Good news that you are finding it difficult to spend £50! Just shows how far you have come in your debt free journey.

Have got a client at 10.30 so hoping I can squeeze another coffee in before that! Also getting on fairly well with the Everest of ironing, so that is good too (in a very sad sort of way!).

No, the truth is that I leave it all until there is so much to do that it is frightening, so then I have to spend all day doing it to get on top of it, by which time the washing machine has been on overtime and there is a new pile to replace it with!!

If only I could get into the habit of doing 2 loads of washing a day, get them dried ironed and put away as I go.......I am building up to it!!

One of my previous Norwegian Students said that she never gets this "crazy English Obsession" with ironing! Perhaps she has a point :rotfl:

Right, off to do a client, back in an hour or so!

    KC you iron jeans?????

I have a mountain of ironing despite OH's absence (I think his shirts make the foothills, though he's been gone two weeks :o )
But I don't iron jeans - I just shake them & fold them.....

    Don't Norwegians do any ironing?:rotfl:

DH has just taken the old folk to the church Harvest Auction for an hour, the extent of what passes for excitement in this rural backwater! So I managed to nip on here for a quick DFW fix before starting on preparing tonight's dinner. They like to eat early, no later than 5.30 they said, whereas at the weekends we tend to eat about 7 or even later ourselves:eek: . I hope the joint has defrosted fully by now, it was still pretty icy when I last looked. Wouldn't want to kill off the old dears with listeria or anything:eek: . The meat has been in the freezer for absolutely yonks waiting for an opportunity to use it....miles too big for us two and a shame to 'waste' on ourselves anyway when it would be ideal for a family gathering. Not too pleased to have to use it now if I'm honest.
