    I'm in.
I have to be at Wembley between 2pm and 3pm for a girls get together before tonight's concert so need to clear the washing mountain before I go , clean the kitchen and hoover through. Doing little bits and pieces now whilst waiting for a (not staying) visitor and then off I go. Oh yeah forgot to dry last night's washing so need to drop son's weekend bag off once I've found and dried his games kit for this afternoon but can do that enroute to Wembley.
Music to clean by will be Donny Osmond to get me into the mood for tonight but probably his eighties stuff (definitely NOT the 70s !)
Pole for the washing line had rusted away to nothing yesterday and the line colapsed so tumble-dryer will be working overtime today but at least it cuts out some ironing ;) Of course it happened just after I bought new clothes pegs !!!

Choco, I instruct you NOT to join in the housework challenge - you are supposed to be preserving what little energy you have left!! I will be very cross if I see you hoovering!

Right, I am ready to start I (almost at the end of this cup of coffee) so my list for the day is as follows - this includes all the stuff I need to do today:
    • [strike]load, put on dishwasher, and put stuff away when it is done[/strike]
    • wash, line dry, iron and put away 2 lots of washing - one lot done and on line, next lot in tumble dryer (it is drizzling here) 3rd lot in the washer.
    • [strike]iron 2 OH work shirts for the weekend[/strike]
    • do one hour of shredding
    • [strike]clean kitchen - worktops, floor, table, hob, shiny sink![/strike]
    • [strike]hoover hall and lounge carpets[/strike]
    • [strike]dust and polish lounge stuff[/strike]
    • [strike]do a mystery shop[/strike]
    • [strike]collect new skis from shop[/strike]
    • [STRIKE]take DD to guide camp[/STRIKE]
    • cancel quidco subscriptions
    • chase bank re direct debits they were supposed to cancel
    • [strike]cancel lovefilm - we are not really using it[/strike]
    • change business account - free banking period is up
Right, that's my list - better get going. Good luck everyone xx

  • Well guys and girls, the first hour is up and I thought I'd check what everyone is up to.

My first hour has been fairly productive:

    [STRIKE]1. Hoover throughout the house[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]2. Polish absolutely everywhere [/STRIKE]
    [strike]3. Tidy beds[/strike]
    [STRIKE]4. Clean glass in lounge/dining room[/STRIKE]
    5. Washing to be done - last load in washer, further load in tumble drier - once last load of washing is dry then it's time to tackle the ironing and putting it away (which I hate!)
[strike] 6. Wash up breakfast pots[/strike]

Next I'm going to hoover upstairs and the hallway after my cuppa.

Hope that you're all having a productive time :)

I am not doing very well. I have washed up the breakfast, tidied a few random things, thrown some old toys away, and taken some old shoes to the shoe bank. And done a cursory sweep of the floor. It still looks terrible but I'm getting stressed about work which needs to be done, so I am going to clean out the guinea-pig and then work.

I will have to try again with tidying at the end of the day.

One nice thing - I found two old 50p coins (the large size) while tidying, and the nice post office man has changed them into £1 for me.

It sounds as if some of you are doing realy well - good luck and I'm sorry to be a flake.
