Oh wow! Duchy is *so* right - you've got to go for it, hypno, Martin has a presence nationally, any local paper with any clue at all would do a little story, they're bound to.
I was thinking Sunday Supplements actually-lets think BIG !!
I could quite see Hypno in the Telegraph posing with a mountain of ink cartridges a pair of skis and Martin

But do you think Hypno would want to advertise her indebted status to the wider world?

Indeed I said the same to Karmacat-it's just something to throw into the great moneyraising brainstormI Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Yep a good story but perhaps Hypno doesn't want to blow her anonymity?
Absolutely right Verbatim - I have already given you lot far too identifying info on here!
I have spent 8 years hiding my true financial status from the world, I don't really want to "come out" now!
The total will be increased by £12 shortly - a £2 cheque from indiefield arrived on my doorstep this morning, and I have won £10 blackjack which is on its way to my bank. When it all arrives it will go straight to the ski fund.
I have arranged with the ski club to organise a 2nd hand sale for parents etc to sell the kit that their darlings have outgrown. I have a pile of stuff I am currently wading through, emptying pockets of sweet wrappers, putting kit through the wash, etc of things that are too small, so hopefully we will raise a few quid that way, and also other parents get to raise a bit too.
We have until the beginning of November to wait for that one, but it gives us time to get a decent amount of advertising at the club etc.
DD has drafted a letter asking businesses to donate just £10, in the hope they will not think her greedy, and will actually donate more than £10! She has called it her £10 challenge so tonight she will print off loads (I will be supplying my own empty cartridges!) and addressing envelopes.
We're getting there.....

Morning hypno..nearly four figures that's fantastic news...is the post on strike then as I received my mail this morning or is it only in certain parts of the country?....0
-
I think the postal strike started at midday so this morning you will get post, but tomorrow and Saturday you won't. Then they are on strike on and off for a week, so it will be disrupted until the middle of next week at least.
