Hun, I get tired just reading your diary, please take care of yourself.

I hope you can keep this up for a few weeks, and then really have a wind down. It'll no doubt help that you have a lie-in pencilled for 4 weeks hence.... but don't burn out will you?

How is your neck after the needle-thingy?
On Radio 2 the other day they had a discussion on acupuncture, I didn't hear it all, but I thought the dog that had it's stiff joints eased by acupunture must have destroyed the cynics argument that it's all in the mind.:rotfl:

Evening OO! My neck has eased a bit from having the acupuncture, but the driving today has stiffened it up again! Still, physio on Tuesday and more acupuncture on Thursday will hopefully loosen the muscles again and make it feel more comfortable. Thanks for asking!!

As for burning out! Well, I simply don't have time for that :p

I am tempted to pay an extra £10 off the debt to take it up to the £10k mark, but then I would feel that it should have gone into the ski fund!!

So the debt total will just have to wait until the next payment is made later in the month.

    It is in touching distance...........

    Ah good, you're still up...

Congratulations to the kids today - they certainly deserve the special training.

Go on, please pay that £10 off the debt, we would all like to see you reach that target.

As you're an ebay expert I'm going to post a question here that I've just posted on the ebay board. Please excuse the blatant hijack but I'm dying to create my first ever listings and this is a sticking point:

    [this is what I posted]

I am listing two items on Ebay and trying to work out a reasonable postage charge.

They weigh 1.8kg and 2.4kg and are compact box shapes. The Royal Mail website calculator tells me they will cost £14.99 each to post but I can't believe it. I'm sure I've posted similar weight items for less.

Can anyone point me to an accurate price chart?

When I have packages that Royal Mail say will cost too much, I send them by courier. I buy the courier service on ebay too for about £7.99 so a pretty good price, and they take things up to 30kg in weight.

What dimensions are the boxes you are sending though, could they go as packets - 1.8kg as a packet goes standard parcels with Royal Mail at £5.68 and 2.4kg goes at £8.24.

Of course if you use the courier services on ebay, you can go through quidco and get a few pence back too!

    Thanks Hypno.

Someone has answered the other post and solved the mystery. I was looking at the Parcelforce service but to send them first class as packets is much cheaper as you said.

Right, off to do the listings. How exciting!

I would be fairly sure they go as packets if they are not much bigger than shoe box size.

    The courier we use is:

We have never had any problems with them so it may be more cost effective to courier rather than post.
