Also hoping that you managed to save some of that takeaway money for the ski fund. There's no way one person should be spending £15 on takeaway all for themselves! _pale_

ATB, there is nothing exciting to report on the fundraising - just had an idea of a "sort of" favour that I could perhaps call in and use to our advantage. Is a bit pie in the sky, but I am working on the basis, if I don't try, I won't know!!!

Of course I will let you know if it comes off (the favour obviously!).

Just been rummaging for things to ebay. Found a couple of really good boots - hiking types that the kids wore once before they grew out of. Sad thing is for each pair, I only found one boot.......wonder if it could go on the "things you thought you would never sell" thread.........

Thanks LA, I will schedule a lay in for the third week in October, that is when the kids are off on their first stint of skiing in Austria, so no need to get up early for school etc and no-one to keep amused in the school hols!!

There is absolutely no way that the whole of that money is going on a takeaway - we could all eat for that!! I will be able to update our total by at least another £10!!

Well it is stupid o'clock on a sunday morning and I am up, pumping myself full of caffeine so I can take the children ski racing. It is still dark outside and I feel as though I have been asleep for about 5 whole minutes!!

Oh well.

On the moneysaving side of things, I am taking packed lunches and a flask of coffee to hopefully avoid buying food and drink when we are there. I do have £10 in case we need real cash, but hopefully nothing more than this will be required. The car has a tank full of petrol in, filled up at Tesco to get the points, which will help towards the Eurotunnel costs, so shouldn't need to get any more petrol when we are out, so will cut the risk of spending at the filling station!!

Hi guys, just back from a good day. DS came third today, and as today was the last in the summer league, he also received a trophy for 3rd over the season, so a good result there that he was not really expecting.

DD skied like a dream, and her team, of which she was captain, came first in the team event so she was happy too.

As for me, well if they are happy then I am too! Now very very tired.

I did manage to log onto one of the bookie sites and bag £9.03 free cash when I got home, and have asked for it to be withdrawn again, so hopefully that will go in the pot later in the week. Apart from that, nothing to report!

Will be going for an early night, I think!!
