Hypno's kick up the backside debt diary....

Hello Hypno (all all the other regulars!)
I've been lurking for quite some time, and I've just finished your diary (it's okay, I was off work sick, so I won't get in trouble for it!)
I just wanted to say that you've done brilliantly! I reckon I'm on the verge of having my very own lightbulb moment, and with all the tips I've picked up from you and this thread, hopefully I'll be able to get debt free relatively soon.
Thank you!Aim - debt free (excluding mortgage) by 30.... 3 years, and four months to go...

Blimey, there's about a squillion pages to read through now! I am truly honoured that anyone (however ill) would take the time to read all of that!!
I hope you are soon feeling better, and once that lightbulb switches itself on you will feel full of energy and ready to get debt busting!

You may live to regret the above (I'm sure this quote thing isn't going to work, but nevermind!)
Your diary is like 'The Archer's'! The cat and I laughed (a lot), cried (a bit) and generally became most inspired!
I did have a thought for the 7K needed for the sking though - could your kids sell shares in themselves? There was an wannabe F1 driver who did that a while ago and he generated lots of publicity.
Instead of a financial return, shareholders could share in the success - an email progress report/newsletter every so often with photos, invites to races/events?
Not being a parent myself (except to the cat) I'm not sure about any ethical child selling issues involved!Aim - debt free (excluding mortgage) by 30.... 3 years, and four months to go...

I was thinking more about chimney sweeping, pit pony pulling, step scrubbing and the like - you know, the things they have had a bit more experience inSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. Right off to bed now.....need to get my sleep to think of more money making ideas!
Have a good evening everyone, see you in the morning xSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Blurry eyed this morning as I had a very poor night's sleep.
Partly my fault because I kept thinking of money (not a good thing, when it invades sleep) and partly DS fault because he came into my room at 3.45 because he needed me to wake him up early because he had forgotten to do his geography homework! (not good either) I reminded him that it is time for him to take responsibility for his homework as I was not entirely happy at being woken up when sleep was difficult to come by anyway!!
Oh well. Work today - the students' first day at uni, so will be very busy. Then kids' karate this evening and then collapse!

3.45 am !!
I admire your self restraint. If that had been me the target would have dropped from £7k to £3.5k although harder to achieve from a cell !
Hope today goes fast for you-I expect it will with all the first day back chaosI Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

 3.45!!! Yup, a cell for me too.... but hypno, "not entirely happy"! The wonderful British understatement at work, I love it.
Have a good day at work/karate. Try not to fall asleep - its a bad role model for the students :rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
have a great day hun, hope you're not too tired xMFW
