Hi taxi
Have you tried advertising on Freecycle for a better computer chair? Also garden furniture is often offered on my local Freecycle. Worth looking if you fancy spending your convalescence soaking up the sun in the backyard.
Hope you're feeling well - don't overdo it, those twinges are probably warning signs that you need to take it easy.
Hope all is well and you're not worrying on the money front.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
thanks for that...I'll have a look0

We'll have you sitting out in that yard soaking up the sun before you can say "Martin Lewis".....
I am sure you can get something on Freecycle that will be practical and comfortable, and as already said above, maybe the twinges are a sign that you should keep even further away from the hoover. You look after yourself, do you hear??Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. I finished it ! Been reading through your diary since yesterday morning and what an inspiration you are ! So many things you say strike a chord with me.
Washing mobile phones - think I've washed 2 and from now on will take Elantan's approach to this from now on !
Your comment about being DF when you DD takes her GCSE's - my DS is the same age and it really got me thinking, at 12/13 that's 'yonks' away, but as a DFW it's round the corner.
I love your attitude, you take a positive out everything negative that's happened, think I could do with a bit of that.

Hi Jo, I hope you managed to get some sleep and weren't reading my diary all night LOL
I have to admit that I was really pleased to work out that I could be debt free when DD does her exams - that means I get chance to save (YES SAVE!!) while she does A levels so that I can help out with Uni fees etc, should she decide to go that far. A good feeling, but still one that is £45000 away!
Stick with these boards and you will get all the support you need. When you are feeling low for whatever reason people here pull you through. It may not always be debt related but when we are low, the debt and our ability to get through seems even tougher, so they go hand in hand really.
I have nothing but praise (well, would have but don't want them to get all big headed) for the bods on these boards - it has made such a difference to me, so stick with it girl!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. It's my job, what I am trained to do, so if I couldn't do it I would be even poorer :rotfl:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
 just posted but it got stuck so have to start again!!!
Not a bad day today, made a frugal shopping list and got around the supermarket having spent just £15 so happy with that. OH gets paid on Monday and I will withdraw £150 for the month for housekeeping (food, toiletries and cleaning stuff) which will be for 3 adults and 2 children and a cat (did originally type Dog there, don't know why, have never had a dog - obviously been reading too many SOAs)
Will be tough but doable I think.
Did the first part of my mystery shopping marathon. Part 2 tomorrow. I will be doing this one for a fortnight but it will be worth it.
I also received a list of available invigilating sessions. I have put my name down for most of them but don't know how many I will be allocated. Hopefully I will get enough to make a difference, but then of course, everything makes a difference!
Off to a party-esque type thing tonight but we are both driving so minimal spend expected. Food provided so no need for me to cook today :T Furthermore, no need to wash up either. Result :T
