To add to the Dove voucher acceptance - yesterday I bought 2 Dove shampoos, 2 Dove handwashes & 2 Tesco wipes(1.49 each, but bogof takes off 1.90). Till accepted 2 quitkit beauty, but only 1 toiletry. So, which is not considered toiletry?! Shampoo, soap or wipes? My guess would be the wipes, which meanss both the others work with both QK vouchers.

yes leadhead, both the 1.25's I have plenty of this now and my OH lynx! to go with the 35+ crates of toothbrushes, toothpastes, mouthwashes and shampoos til the cows come home lol

You must be on about that level if not more, got another 60 of clothes free today(giving them away I have no-more space!)

But going to have to continue at the moment as am saving for my wedding rings (clubcard deals from tesco) have just over 11000 at the moment another 9000 to go, i can't believe how well I am doing!

But I don't always use my clubcard;)

Well you know(I think everyone knows) my philosophy on club cards.....however OH has used it recently to great success, a couple of lots of 10x50 pointers at a time, and my eldest managed 20 x50 points in one(large) transaction last night..I say large, it was large before deductions....lol.

I think I(we) are due a rest....will use up all "soon to be expiring" coupons over weekend, and hope for a fortnight or so before our Easter presents arrive from Mr T.
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

  • Some great posts here which help others build their shower Gel/shampoo lakes. My only worry is that this great loophole will be closed as we are pretty much giving Mr T a masterclass in what not to do when creating/designing coupon campaigns. Would hate to see this opportunity go the way of R&R. Any suggestions as to how the thread can be 'toned down?'

Everyone here pretty much gets the gist of the opportunity, perhaps deciding not to repeatedly post successes (which is hard as it's so satisfying) might be a start. Perhaps just posting new coupons to keep an eye out for, we can all do the maths. We could do with the thread being shorter and a touch more reserved.

I tried to use the quit packs £1.25's off some of the Bnatural wipes (along with the 3x£1 vouchers, £2.50 & £2 off) - they all went through fine apart from the 1.25 toiletry quit - beauty one went through fine.

Hope that helps someone else in their calculations. :D

It's a catch 22 situation really....Without information being shared on threads/sites like this then lots of people wouldn't have any idea about the loopholes around combining vouchers.

With all of these things, there's a danger of 'killing the golden goose'. I have stated before that I think Tesco have their own agenda about promoting sales of toiletries/beauty products at that store and the merits of that outweigh any losses made by people exploiting this information.

Personally, I'm not always capable of doing the maths. :o I find this thread incredibly helpful and a source of valuable information and find tales of 'successes' inspirational (as well as making me very envious!)

I had my fingers burnt last week with a pernickity CA - but I'm going Tescoing this weekend and getting right back on that horse!;)

At some point, Tesco will close this loophole but it will be at a time that suits them and not, necessarily, as a result of these sort of threads. In other words - please don't stop posting idiots' guides to coupon combining - some of us need them! :o:D

...we can all do the maths.

Reading other peoples purchases & voucher combinations really helped me to get my shops right.

Although i'm possibly one of the "loudest", "explanitory", "detailed", "bigest culprits", exploitational, users on here.......I find myself agreeing with a lot of what you say.

Some say that Mr T claims back these coupons from the manufacrures, Ive never agreed with that, as theyre Tesco coupons, not "say" Dove coupons.

As with the clothes though, Mr T can now possibly brag that he sells more toiletries than Boots, or more clothes than Debenhams......albeit greatly subsidised.

I dont believe everyone can do the maths, and the thread is a great help to those that cant.........but yes, we wouldnt want it to go the same as RandR.........

Sorry, I'm a maths person and jump to that assumption too often. Just worrying (perhaps selfishly) that another golden goose will be stuffed and cooked.

Like me you clearly have a passion for squeezing Mr T's profits in your favour. Wouldn't want any MSE thread to lose that drive.
