Negative pregnancy tests but still not sure

Hiya Everyone,
This is a bit of a strange one and google isn't helping me.
Bit of background....
We have a baby boy (1 year) and tried to have him for 7 years so after having him never starting using any kind of protection. Periods were always every 28 days, lasted for 5 days and really heavy.
Periods started back last summer (had baby in April) and were the same as before. Then in February it was a week late, March 2 days late, April a week late and this month 3 days late. Nowhere near as heavy as before and only lasting a few days.
Done loads of pregnancy tests which all came back negative. Was at Doctors in Feb and they said they couldn't feel a fundus so wasn't pregnant.
Now I am very overweight, but the top half of my belly has gotten hard and seems to stretch round to my sides. I am so tired, could sleep for hours and even fallen asleep in front of the tv sometimes. Did go through a wee phase a few weeks ago where I was feeling sick but not actually throwing up.
I am so confused, part of me thinks it is all my head as I do want another baby, but then another part thinks what if ??
Has anyone has something like this happen to them. Google has loads of sites but most people don't come back to update so idea how accurate it would be.

You shouldn't be asking for medical advice, especially when common sense dictates that you should see a doctor rather than a load of strangers on the internet.0

Is you period actually late? Maybe got back to doctors. No-one on here is going to be able to tell you anything definitive0

Sometimes people don't want to bother the doctor DylanO and seek a bit of comfort and advice from people online....Yes I am sure eventually Caroline will see a doctor but on a Saturday night without being able to get an appointment until a week day it can be nice to talk with people online (Probably to gain the courage to go to the doctors because if Caroline is anything like me she will need to be convinced to go because I hate going for anything!)0

I am not really asking for medical advice, just wondering if anyone had been in the same situation and what the outcome wasmoneypuddle wrote: »Is you period actually late? Maybe got back to doctors. No-one on here is going to be able to tell you anything definitive
Although my periods are late every month they do arrive.
I know no-one can give me a yes no answer but just curious if this has happened to anyone else.moreofthegoodstuff wrote: »Sometimes people don't want to bother the doctor DylanO and seek a bit of comfort and advice from people online....Yes I am sure eventually Caroline will see a doctor but on a Saturday night without being able to get an appointment until a week day it can be nice to talk with people online (Probably to gain the courage to go to the doctors because if Caroline is anything like me she will need to be convinced to go because I hate going for anything!)
Thank you. I just don't want to go to the doctors and say Oh, I think I am pregnant, but still getting my periods and negative tests, They will think my head is away.;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)0 -
I've been there (without the massively overweight to start off bit) more than once, convinced myself the tests are wrong, but that's never been the case. Lots of issues which cause fertility problems also cause menstrual disturbances which can mimic early pregnancy. If you check the stats, at nearly 5 months pregnant, the chances of a urine HPT being negative are neglible, though not nil.
As others say, you should see your GP, and if you aren't pregnant and want to be, but your menstrual system has gone haywire, ask if you can be referred to a gynaecologist specialising in fertility problems to see if the problem can be sorted. Be aware though, you may be asked to lose some weight if your BMI is over 35 (or in some areas 30) before any treatment even at a low level such as hormone regulating drugs is offered.0 -
To me none of what you've described sounds like pregnancy, your stomach wouldnt 'harden' at the top and you are still getting periods.
If you are stressing every month when your period is due that could cause it to be delayed, and nausea could be anything hormone related,
All you can do is go back to the doctor, describe your symptoms though rather than ask them to check for pregnancy.Bow Ties ARE cool "Just because you are offended, doesnt mean you are right" Ricky Gervais0 -
I had really heavy periods before my first child, they calmed down a bit after childbirth.
I did convince myself that I was pregnant at one point, despite regular periods. Even made DH come to the doctor with me (he knew I wasn't). Some family members had died and I think it was a reaction to that. Dr couldn't feel anything, but he did send me for a scan, bless him, I guess he thought it may well be worth checking things out in that area.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -

Go to your GP, or if you don't want to see the GP make an appointment with the practice nurse. Don't go in saying you think your pregnant but all the tests are negative, just explain all your symptoms and see what they say.
You can always mention about pregnancy after they've said what they think based on just the symptoms you describe.0
