I only use the card for big purchases, the last things I brought on it was a new computer and concert tickets for insurance purposes.
I owe £500.00 on the card and pay £150.00 per month as the min payment.
Maybe you can be a bit more specific? Was the limit increase letter with 4th statement or how many days after? I just need to know as if all fails i will have to get a family member to get a CC ready for Van rental.0 -
All I recall is them writing to me in the middle of April and by the 5th of May is when they increased my limit. My min. payments are due around 30th of the month, so they increased the limit after I made April's payment. THE LETTER DID NOT COME WITH THE STATEMENT.
How long have you had the account for?DEBTFREE AND PROUD!!0 -

It took them 7 months to grant me a limit increase - it went from 500 to 1250. I've now had the card 11 months but no sign of a further increase.
They wrote to me by postal letter informing me of the limit increase. It took effect about five weeks later.Never argue with an idiot. Especially not this idiot because I'm always right anyway.0 -
How were you told of a limit increase?
Was it by letter?
Did letter come with statement? Or before/after?
Just some general info. As i'm hoping for an increase. Not for nothing special just something to allow enough funds for Van rental.
I received a letter abot 2 weeks after my 4th statement, increasing my limit from £250 to £500. The increase will take effect from the 3rd June which is the date of my 5th statement.
I pay the full balance every Month which is around £100. Seems to have worked well for me.0 -

Hey,
Could you give us an update? How long did it take in the end before you got your limit increase? How long after you received the letter.. or how long after your statement date. I'm aware they say you are due a credit limit increase after your next statement, but how long after your next statement do you have to wait? Its been over 30 days. Cheers0 -
Hi my first post on here
So I have had the vanquis card for 14 months now and still only have a £250 credit limit. Don't know what I'm doing wrong, use it often and more often than not I pay the full balance. I have 1 default witch comes off in august but thats it, all other balance's like catalogues and contract phones all paid on time. Should I give them a call?
Thanks0 -
Phoning Wont help I'm afraid, you will only be told that they will write if your eligible, I suspect use of the card is only one element that is looked at, your credit file on a monthly basis could be looked at, how you spend and when you pay could all be factors, the problem is no one knows whatight get you a limit increase might be totally different to someone else, just keep using the card and you will get an increase, just make sure you don't miss any payments or go over limit, any one if them could reset your eligibility for an increase.
Good luck
