New Driver Car Insurance

My Son would like a car for his eighteenth birthday. We have been looking around and have seen a number of small cars that would suit. But trying to get insurance is a complete joke. For a modified TVR and a Volvo XC90, just over £500 in total for both, European, business use & track day cover included. Not that the Volvo goes on track, but I did a few fast laps of Bruntingthorpe in it which was a bit wallowy!
