I ordered from The Phone Spot in December, all the paperwork with the phone was on e2save letterhead. It was a clearance 6111, came with battery, charger and manual but none of the other accessories. The removable back cover was very badly scratched but the actual phone itself looked brand new. My only issue with them was that I'd ordered the same phone twice, one for me and one as an Xmas present. They decided that I'd accidentally duplicated my order, so cancelled one without asking me first...

OK, cheers for the input guys...

Now to decide whether clearance or not???

With Clearance phones, you save more money.

As advertised on their website, might not include all the accessories. (I've had 3 clearance phones, no problems so far).

But, basic accessories are included - charger, manual. Sometimes you might not get the software CD and USB cable.

Well, I went for the clearence N73 in the end.

The outside aesthetics are perfect. The inside of the phone though, where the battery goes, looks as though it's been pulled away and put back on. But not too bothered about that.

It came with the charger, manual, usb cable and a CD which had been burnt saying N73 software, but just contained the pc suite software.

Am happy with it all in all, just waiting now for them to activate the service!!! Grrrr, lol
  • Never had any problems with e2save. Claimed cashbask with them now 6 times and always got a cheque back really quickly.

I think Phonespot have just changed their cashback to 30 days. It was 45 last week, but when I bought my phone today the terms and conditions said 30 at the end. I went back to the phone and checked and it is now 30.

    e2save take copies.

Yes you are right...checked it out after post and it does say they take copies. it also says that they take online account printouts and give 45 days from date on the bill for the internet printout...another plus point...havent had an e2save contract ina couple of years...and cant remember that being there pre-cpw.

    Looks good.

Thats a bit cheeky aint it...their website still says 45 days:

How do I claim my chequeback (cashback)?

The full amount will be paid to you over 4 to 5 separate payments.
We simply require your 6th, 8th, 10th then 12th airtime bills for 12 month contracts or your 6th, 9th, 12th, 15th then 18th airtime bills for 18 month contracts to arrive with us within 45 days of the date stated on the airtime bill (sending photocopies is advisable so that you can keep the originals for your records).

I agree that it is a bit cheeky, it says now on the phones, and on the terms and conditions when you buy. 45 days is a lot better than 30, but the real question is do they accept online printouts, which I believe they do, then it does not matter if your bill gets lost in the post.

However, it says you must send it within 30 days on the conditions and they must receive it within 45 days, so if that is right then it is still better than must receive within 30 days.

The deals at e2save and phonespot don't look that competative to me.
