My company car not showing on askmid
I've had my company car for over 7 weeks (brand new 12 plate car) and was just now looking on askmid and the site does not recognise the number plate and says the car Is not showing on the database today.
Is this of concern? The fact that it is a company car and just 7 weeks since first registered make any difference?
If anything happens while I am driving between now and when I get it sorted with my company (off work on holiday for a week now), am I personally liable?

AsK MID is not the same database police use, the information is from the same source but ASK MID is not updated daily where the actual database where the info is harvested from is.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Thanks. But after 7 weeks, it should update? Or can askmid still contain inaccuracies?0

Not if the insurer hasn't put it on in the first place. If it's not on askmid, carry the insurance docements with you.0 -
Have you got the insurance documents? I'd get in touch with the company.
AskMID updated within a few days for my car and that wasn't even on the DVLA database.Save £200 a month : [STRIKE]Oct[/STRIKE] Nov Dec Jan Feb Mar Apr0 -
Thanks. My concern is, as it is a company car, I didnt insure it myself and it'll be a while before I get the paperwork from my company. They tend to be slow about these things, hence it's not beyond possibility that the car is not actually insured right now!0

The car will be on a corporate block policy.
It may NEVER show on MID.
Just because a vehicle isn't on MID doesn't mean it isn't insured.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
I'd be getting a copy of the insurance doc from the company - you're the person who would be getting the points if stopped by police and its not insured.0

No they won't.
Remember its a company car if the op ask their company if they are insured before they next drive it and are told yes. They would not get prosecuted.0 -
Its a company (leased) car. Relax as they will know what they are doing. If you are that concerned then call the leasing company and ask them.0
