Thanks again for all your helpSt. Francis said: “A man who uses his hands is a laborer. One who uses his hands and mind is a craftsman. He who uses his hands, and his mind, and his heart is an artist.”0 -
Putting photo's and docs elsewhere won't speed the machine up, it's safer to leave them on the hard disk, and use external methods for backup - flash drives are very easy to corrupt or lose.
Could you post a normal hijackthis log!!

Waddler - thank you - I shall work my way through your post later.St. Francis said: “A man who uses his hands is a laborer. One who uses his hands and mind is a craftsman. He who uses his hands, and his mind, and his heart is an artist.”0 -
download & install HJT:-
http://www.filehippo.com/download_hijackthis/
the download latest version button is towards the top-right of the page.
it puts a shortcut on your desktop - double-click to launch it. Click on Do a Scan and Save a Logfile. when it's finished, you'll havethe hjt window open, and a log will open in Notepad. Copy & paste the log from Notepad into a post on this thread
