Do Blackberrys need a special SIM or a special account ?
Or will a "normal" SIM allow access to POP3 email and web browsing ?

AFAIK a special tariff is needed only for BB Internet Service and BB Messenger. Without a special tariff you'll probably need to install some other browser though like, say, Opera.

Thanks - I have not yet decided whether to look elsewhere for a Nokia E7 - They are expensive (£429) - or whether to try a Blackberry or something else....

Some not well known companies sell it for £321+, but I don't see any worrying signs.

OK Maybe I can still get one - problem being that the cheapest of these are out of stock and I will not buy from ebay

I don't see that the one for £322 is OOS.
Not that I am advocating buying from this company.

The only cheaper I see are either used or from ebay.

Handtec is OOS - due in soon - so I have registered an interest !!
There is a HUGE variation in price - isn't there ?
