I'm a bit paranoid about this sort of thing too. Many years ago I was burgled while I was in the house alone (before my partner had moved in with me). It was 4:00am and I could hear everything and was literally paralysed with fear. That alone scared me as I'd always thought that I would be able to go down and say ' what the hell do you think you're doing' and then they would scarper.
All that aside. I still have to look out of the window if I hear any unusual sounds at night. One night I could hear something going on outside , took a peep, and saw some blokes smashing car windows and ripping out the stereos. I phoned the police whose response was 'oh they'll be miles away before we can get there'!!! They didn't even take my name. What's going on in this country?

    THATS NINE POLICE TO CATCH MOTORISTS >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

    Neil

Motorists who are breaking the law, and are therefore criminals. Just because in your opinion it's not important as the kind of thing the Daily Mail likes to get hysterical about. People get killed by motorists driving irresponsibly, and they deserved to be punished.

  • I had to phone the police at work last week and they arrived within 2 minutes. I was really impressed. They were wonderful.

yes, UNBELIEVABLE...its the council not the Police doing it....shame they don't bother instead with all the cyclists who go out at night with no lights on... the council are also now refusing to empty your wheelie bin if the lid is not completely closed...and you have to show ID to get into the tip.... ::)
