I think the police are doing a fantastic job. I agree that there isn't enough of them, but that is hardly their fault. I work in an off liscence and we reguarly (once a month or so) have drunks/druggies/loosers who think they can come in and get violent with us. The police always arrive really quickly and handle the situation well. Our police force may need more staff, but those they have are doing a brilliant job.thanks to everyone one on here for being so friendly and helpfull0

When we need their help theres never enough of them cos they cant be arsed but i can guarantee there'll be one standing behind a bush with a speed gun waiting to get you in your car. >:( >:( >:(
So what you're saying is that they should pursue more criminals, except for you? Right.[size=-2]Matched betting profit: ~ £30,000 since Jan 2005

Heard a story...
A man returned home at night, to find his house was being burgled (burgulars still there).
He called the police and asked them to come. They said they didn't have any officers available, for a few hours.
10 mins later the man phones back and says don't worry about sending the officers out, I've just shot the burgulars.
In minutes a police car arrived. The sergent said to the man "I thought you said you'd shot them". The man replied "And I though you had no officers"..0 -
i hate the police
I just phoned them as there was a posable attack next door. shouting, screaming, i didnt know if she was being raped or what was happening. Called the police, told them and listened on the scanner. They put the call over the radio 10 mins after i made the call, came to the street. When they came, they went to the wrong house, didnt knock or anything, said, its all quiet, and drove away. They didnt attempt to search the aera. This girl (15) could have been seriously assalted.Never do things tomorow when you can do them today.0 -
Suzz, the idea in your story works well.
It's kinda like yelling FIRE instead of rape cause it makes people come faster.
If you got a !!!!!! off cop he might try and do u for wasting police time or whatever, but l don't think it would go anywhere, might take you down the cop shop and lock u in a cell for an hour to scare you but l think it would be worth it for the look on his face lol ;D
I agree with your comments Badmofo, l see lot's of cop cars and cameras yet when 4 youths were smashing my fance up with baseball bats - (no idea why, it was the afternoon and l'd never seen them before) they car took over 30 minutes to come, and then drove past my house, l walked out to the front and they drove back right past me and ignored me completely and drove away! Not much help, esp as l had photos of the kids faces, but of course being undersage you can't charge them, all you can do is fight it yourself in the civil courts (at your expense) against their parents, the police can do nothing other than "have a word".
Pathetic, the laws need to be changed so the police can lock them up the same as everyone else, what sort of 14 year old batters a fence down with a bat for no reason. If l was his father l would of paid for the damage immediately and rained hell down on him!Sense is not common.0 -
Me and the wife were disturbed by a lot of banging comming from downstairs at about 2am . We really panicked and I phoned the police, quivering that someone was downstairs. About 20 mins later the police arrived, so I gingerly went downstairs, sweat poreing, only to find wife had only put chain on frount door, and it wasn't fully shut, hence the banging. despite the good nature of the police I was really embarrasedSorry No Links in Signatures by site rules - MSE Forum Team 20

My friend broke her leg whilst we were out hill-walking recently - the emergency services were fantastic, and I got a free ride in the police helicopter
Must say I've never had a bad experience regarding the police force but perhaps I've just been lucky.♥♥♥ Genius - 1% inspiration and 99% doing what your mother told you. ♥♥♥0 -

er no bpyoung - this is what im saying:Those incompetent fools need to get their priorities right.
ie. murderers, rapists, peados, and chav scum. NOT wasting OUR resources to making easy money by prosecuting motorists for driving three MPH over the speed limit.
Last week down our street there was a police speed camera van with THREE officers in it. 20 yards up the road there was a Police Volvo with TWO officers in it.
20 yards up the road on the OTHER side there was another volvo with another two coppers in it. As i was driving past in total disbelief i saw ANOTHER police volvo with another TWO oficers driving towards them.
THATS NINE POLICE TO CATCH MOTORISTS >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(
