Either you two are incredibly thin or [STRIKE]I'm incredibly fat [/STRIKE]our M&S has different changing cubicles but there's no way you could get two people in one cubicle in our local M&S.

They are quite generous.
We just find it easier as then we can get each others opinion without having to show all the other customers how stupid we might look in something!!!!
M&S staff seem quite ok with it. After all it frees up another cubicle for someone else if they are busy.0 -
I have tried phoning said store this morning but i have got no reply yet
i want to speak to the manager and see if what the SA said is correct and if so they really need to make some sort of provision for those who are disabled and need help
will report back once they pick up the phone lol

Thanks for your input but we've already advised the OP to bring out the big guns if the store itself (well the manager) is unhelpful;) - softly softly catchee monkey and all that;)Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Well the store manager has just phoned me back and i told her everything and she was shocked and said that me and my son should not have been treated like that
She said that the staff are trained to let those with disabilities to have a carer with them regardless of male/female changing rooms they are allowed into the disabled changing room
she took the time i went in and is going to speak to the member of staff and she also took my address to send me some vouchers as a way of an apology
i wasnt after any compensation i just wanted to make her aware of what had happened so as it doesnt happen to anyone else or myself and my son again
she said to bring my son in any time and i can go into the changing room with him and that she hopes this incident doesnt put me off
i am happy with this outcome so dont think i should take it any further
thanks for all your help/advice

Good outcome OP. I'm glad you followed Valli's advice to start with the store manager.
It's clear the manager recognised the issue and will address it accordingly. Nice of her to send some vouchers too, at least that would help with the cost of the suit.

Why on earth was the disabled changing room in the men's?What if a female with disabilities wanted to use it - would she have to go through the men's to access it?
We live near a posh hotel that has "Mother and Baby" spaces, but put the disabled toilet (which houses the baby changing facilities) in the gents.
Clever, eh?Science adjusts its views based on what's observed.
Faith is the denial of observation, so that belief can be preserved.
