nestle easter egg

i have just bought a smarties easter egg. you would think that a smarties easter egg would have, er....smarties in it. no, it dont.
so off to trading standards i go and a call to nestle uk on their free phone number.

this really annoys me. i mean, they must think we are thick. selling something with the name on and not including that in the product. i will report back with all the gruesome details from myself, mrs angry, with the unfortunate person on tuesday who answers the phone.
Old Faithful we roam the range together,
Old Faithful in any kind of weather,
When the round up days are over,
And the Boulevard’s white with clover,
For you old faithful pal of mine.
Giddy up old fella cos the moon is yellow tonight,
Giddy up old fella cos the moon is mellow and bright,
There’s a coyote crying at the moon above,
Carry me back to the one I love,
And you old faithful pal of mine.

Sounds like they are just missing occasional things like this happen. Perhaps contact Nestle I am sure they will reimburse you.

I remember get some Magnum ice cream cartons that have chocolate sprinkles however they were missing, they just sent me a voucher for £3.

Well it now appears I was wrong, the Smarties Easter eggs doesn't contain smarties, this was mentioned today on BBC watchdog. There's a little disclaimer on the box apparently.

We have had several of these - Aero being the only one I can remember, but they are marketed as being an egg with a branded egg-cup, ie an rubbish flat egg-cup with Aero on it, rather than with actual sweets.

    And the point is...????????
    Glad it got on Watchdog!

This was mentioned on Watchdog on Friday night. They said that had spoken to Nestle who say that it did say in small lettering that the egg was 'hollow'!
    Smat(ie) exit or what? Haha
