Evening Elite.
I'm thinking to double up my vouchers to baby & todler token to buy johnsons baby wipes, can anyone tell me if they compare, as they are £ 6.49 in T and only £3.5 in A
Was thinking to double up £10 to £20 and get 3 boxes of wipes (64 per pack x 6) + £1 cotton buds. Spend £20.47 minus £1 MOC from PFL and get JTD of £8.97 so 50p for 18 packs of wipes and cotton buds.
Do correct me if i'm wrong in my calculations.barbara6812 wrote: »Mine didn't compare Wednesday! Bought 2 boxes as well.:(
A lesson in how sneaky and underhanded Ts is. I had a load of Johnson's MOCs amongst others sent to me as part of the mother & baby club so I spent hours working out the best way to get JTD and a petrol voucher. I can confirm that 10 days ago I bought 4 boxes of the Johnson's wipes and they price checked fine:
4 x JOHNSONS BABY SKINCARE WIPES F/F 384 - £ 25.96 - £ 18.00
Just to be clear these were the pink boxes of 6 x 64 packs of frangrance free wipes i.e. the only type they sell!
Edit: I should also point out that every £5 you double up you get a £10 voucher. I know that bit is obvious but that's what you actually get - multiples of £10. I doubled up £110 and got 22 x £10 vouchers for the same department. That would mean tamilla that you could split your shopping into 2 and use 2 price floppers (as per the T&Cs) instead of only using one for a £20 spend. Obvioulsy that may be a moot point now we know Ts moved the goalposts when As dropped their prices!0 -
does anyone have the expiry date on the Welch voucher, contemplating whether it's worth a special trip:D Also, has anyone tried the AA dtd today and has anyone tried it with the AAA or just AA?
Think its 31st July, so a while yetIf it wasn't for blinds it'd be curtains for all of us:dance:0 -

Last time it was both AA and AAA they are usually the 2 in the offer and I'm sure they were the same this time around.
I haven't tried I have 24 boxes already...:eek::eek::eek:
DTD batteries are good it's usually just a matter of time before you find that elusive bogof clipstrip...often I find them in the ir0ning bo4rd section, they don't think to check there!Learn from the past, enjoy and appreciate the present and work to make your future the best it can possibly be

hi everyone. just back, ended up going to 2 T's i've never been to before. first one was bit disappointing- no 1p items or glitches and too early for any decent whoopsies.
second store found 1 lonely bag of the lindt eggs and thought they were going to be taken off me. went through SS letting the children 'help' with the scanning and when the lindt got scanned till very loudly said 'product has been recalled, assistance is on the way'. nice male SA came over, explained to me that someone had put stickers over the barcodes that weren't programmed right so he peeled it off down to the original barcode and scanned for 1p, he just looked at till and said thats good before walking off. shame there was only one pack in there really.
Did get plenty of price flop leaflets in both stores though so not completely wasted journey0 -

Was this a womble? I had my best at £4.16 this week :T:T:T all mine are wombles I can't cope with the JTD calculations of a normal shop, whenever I try they are always out of stock of something and it mucks it up,yes I did say mucks I checked!:D
Certainly was a womble! My best ever womble was £11.25:D
For my efforts in scrabbling in T's bushes I got the grand total of £23.81 over 7 receipts:TYou can't live a perfect day without doing something for someone who will never be able to repay you. ~John Wooden 154/06/2700 -
Afternoon Elite
Not much going on here today apart from DH removing old shrubs etc so wee can have a new fence erected. No birds nesting in the area we are working on.
Not been to Ts today but will be popping into Co*d*ck tonight on the way home. Will get some more Wenchies Rose there as my local don't stock that one and they are charging £2 for the white grape one
Going to bingo tonight so fingers crossed for a win lol I must be due one soonThere's no place like home
Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.
Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.0 -

Could it be small solitary bee ( what a cute name by the way:))? Probably you can contact these folks http://www.bumblebeeconservation.org.uk/bumblebees_id.htm and they will help you sort it out some way or another.
EDIT: Most likely this one:

well it certainly looks very much like the tree bee and seems to have the white tail.....also looks very much like a masonery bee as RedFox kindly linked to........but tempted to think tree bee as my house backs onto a nature reserve but also the masonary bee tends to nest in soil etc not lofts?

Bought a Tinkerbell colouring set in the managers final reductions sale yesterday. It had no barcode on it, no label or anything so cashier couldn't scan it. She turns to ask her mate on the next desk and asks if she knows how to put an item through that doesn't have a barcode. Her mate had no idea, she turns to me in a huff and says, 'They don't teach us anything on here. They just throw us behind a till and expect us to know it all.'
That took long enough, but went to Customer Services desk and she had someone go check the price as she wasn't prepared to take my word for it. Whilst he was gone, she was called away by another Staff member to check some pricing somewhere, the assistant that checked the price returned, only to find the CS woman gone, he then disappears. CS lady returns, I told her the guy had checked the price and it was correct, but again she wasn't willing to take my word for it, and instead insisted I wait until he returned.
Ten minutes later he's still not returned, she sends someone else to check price. They come back unable to find the item, so I have to take him and show him the item. He then comes back to confirm the price.
CS presses a few buttons and whatever, then calls the guy back to bring the SEL as she couldn't put it through without scanning something. It had been over twenty minutes by now I was fuming :mad::mad:
Guy returns with SEL, only for it to have no barcode on
She then tells him to go find an item with the exact price (£3) so she can scan this and sell me the item. Ten minutes later he returns. She sells me the item, writes 'No return' on the receipt, and I finally get my £3 colouring set. 30 minutes late :mad::mad:0 -
