29.9p in the £, if you spend £1 and scan a 30p coupon, it will call for assistance.
ie £1.71 will take a 50p coupon, £3.42 will take a £1 coupon, without authorisation.
Some SS tills call for authorisation at the second coupon, some are set to ask at the third - it is store dependant, but ALL are set at the 29.9 p in the £. HTH0 -

i returned with 2 packs of socks and gave them to him, he could not thank me enough and said what do i owe you. then i told him they scanned at 4p:D
I did that too, our neighbour must be about the same age. I was actually quite surprised he did not have bigger feet as he is quite a tall and well built gentleman.
I went round tonight with a sack of spuds I got for 40p and a half shoulder of lamb £2.50ish. I like to see him smile, his wife has been very unwell lately and is lucky to still be with us.
My neighbour always asks too, what do I owe you. I laughed one time when I gave him couple of bags of nuts and said well you can give me the 2p if you like. Tonight's whoopsies is probably the most money I have ever spent on them, and he didn't actually ask I think he is so used to me saying I got it for free or pennies. :rotfl:Of course I would not have taken anything anyway so it doesn't matter.0 -

I saw something wonderful in Ts just now. Terrys chocolate orange with fathers day packaging and unlike the xmas packaging that is still floating about in several stores this has a different barcode to the standard product
Theres a good chamce these will go to 1p in a couple months. I never got any of the xmas TCOs because i hadnt found this thread or the 1p thread back then. I'm looking forward to making up for that as i loooooove TCOApparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -
That's lovely. Isn't it good to do nice things for people unexpectedly? I gave my next door neighbour a hat and gloves for her three year old boy. She looked at me as if I had lost the plot! I told her that they had scanned at 4p. She was pleased too and asked me if I wanted the 4p!
Tesco is allowing us to become modern day Robin Hoods!
Can't agree more, I have often thought of the comparison "robbing the rich to feed/clothe the poor".0
