I'll drop the DT thing, it was just a suggestion!
I know we'll never stop lurkers and as I say it was to deter grabbers rather than exclude newbies!!;)

The biggest threat to what we do now is from staff anyway. They don't need the forum..........they have their own PDA's and once they get the idea, we don't get a sniff, simple as that.

Hi locarr , I must admit that I didn't agree with the hiding the thread etc but well done to you for suggesting it and putting it out there for discussion , at least it gave us posters the chance to air our points of view and give opinions .

Not Tesco related but help/advice needed please..:):):)

My son is 14 and needs new clothes, he has had a growth spurt in the last couple of months. Age 15 from Next fits him perfectly, can only order from Next online as they don't stock age 15 in their stores.
M&S are hit and miss for his size, some fit, some don't.
Debenhams stock up to age 16 but limited choice in store so again means buying online. Would rather buy in store as then he can try them on and save me the fuss of having to send them back if they not fit or he not like them. T shirts, shorts and hoodies I can buy in sports shops but the choice is not that great. Am struggling with the basics such as pj's, underwear etc.
Have looked in Holister as seems to be the trendy shop for teens, but so expensive especially as he will probably not get much wear out of them before he has another growing spurt.
Seems he is between children's sizes and adults sizes. I can not remember having the same problem with my older son.
Please can anyone suggest where else I can look for clothes for him.

I have the problem with my 12 yr old - my sil suggested I lock him in a cupboard until he fits Mens clothes.
Tops are easy - most xs from the mens dept will fit ok its just trousers argghhh - & T's only go up to 13/14 which is what I was buying last year, try Primark as they start some of the trousers in a 26 waist
I say "THANKS" to posts that make me smile - Oh and really good glitches.:j
Good things come to those who wait:A Bad things come on express delivery:(

Thanks, have done this and added a personal statement. Sadly a polite version, not the one I would really have liked to post!

Locking him away...:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I did think he was going to be small as until a year ago he was still in age 10 but he has grown so much recently so now think he will be tall like his Dad and brother, both 6 foot 4"...and there's me just 5 foot..:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Tesco? :D:p:D

Did look in Tesco, but he not liked any clothes there...too old fashioned for him he said...:rotfl::rotfl:

I know I may be slow but what is the DT and will my favourite forum move too it, it has taken me a while to go from lurker to poster mainly because i thought i had nothing to add anything i found had already been posted and i worry folk think i am wasting their time so other lurkers may be in the same vote please welcome them like you have me and many others then they will come from lurker to member happily :j:beer::T

    Hi everyone,

I'm in the middle of catching up so not sure if anyone has mentioned to you already magsmorris, but I don't think anything can be posted too many times on this thread. I think often if something is posted again someone may have missed it first time round anyway. And it is nice to have confirmation that something is still working especially things like the 1p finds which can go back up at any time. Everyone has something to contribute in their own way, as most big happy familys do. ;)

People will join in if and when they feel ready, I can see where Locarr was coming from but I feel my heart is here among friends. Love ya all Elite 11. :grinheart

Can't you tell I'm in a good mood, just had phone call to say car has passed it's MOT with no work being needed. Not bad for a car that is over it's 10th birthday. :j:j:j

gonna get my dressing changed soon, i am so not looking forward to that. i really dont want to "see" my missing toe, but on the other hand i want these dressings off, they smell now :o and i need to get some wet wipes to my foot. just to get the iodine off and the marker pen arrow, that was kindly put on there.

maybe i could get the nurse to put a tissue over my "toe" and i could wash the rest of my foot. that might work.

    welcome aboard the newbies.
MMW - good luck re: your dressing change.. If i were you I'd look away. Especially as it will be a bit of a sight from the op. Wishing you luck for later x
