You're just going to have to take a hit on this one and learn the lesson...I can't understand why you would order something like that so early in the process but each to their own.
I sat on shabby old second hand arm chairs in my flat for two months waiting for my sofa as I wouldn't order it until I was in there never mind exchanged!

OK, you're stuck with the sofa. Take your existing bed, lean it up against the wall, plonk the sofa down and sleep on the sofa. I am assuming your existing bed isn't yours so you can't just sell that or get rid of it.

    Bit late, but...
Top Tip: Sofas cost £2,000 when you're in your 2nd/3rd house and financially secure.... certainly not a first sofa purchase.... that's WAY too extravagent. For me... I'd NEVER spend that/have that spare for a sofa.

Well that's some good news at least - perhaps sell it on eBay and ask DFS to deliver it to the winning bidders address - solves your storage problem too!

Are you intending to buy another house ? I know that CSL will keep furniture for a while, don't know if DFS will. It might be worth asking if they can keep it for you. Otherwise, yes sell it but you will lose money unfortunately.

Stop! Think. Read the small print. Trust nothing and assume that it is your responsibility. That way it rarely goes wrong.

That's not going to be to everyone's taste, I'm afraid, though some people will love it. Be prepared to take a really, really big hit on price, and check out the local self-storage places just in case it does not sell at all.

Before listing, check whether DFS will deliver to AN Other's address. Did you pay cash or credit for it, as that may make a difference?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?
  • on finance, the payment plan will start from next january

they will change the delevery address, its due to delever in july

Perhaps rent a bigger apartment until you find somewhere to buy?

Agreed, my sofa cost 70 quid from the ymca, 70 quid too much when you see how much the cats scratch it...
