TT YES SOME PRAISE NOT FOR THEM BUT THEIR ADVISOR CAROL

As promised she did ring back the following day to confirm all the cancellation procedures had been completed.

But yes of course, there debt recovery service, is as bad as TT. They do not respond to emails - can not get through on the phone and the next thing you get is a letter from the baillifs. When you call them, oh yes we received the cancellation notice but the letter went out in the earlier post. Say La Vie

I'm curious if you are being harassed by TT and their bailiffs and it is their problem then surely you can also claim compensation for this from the small claims. The time to sort it out and the stress caused.

Having major problems today, about two weeks they called to offer an upgrade from the basic line rental and PAYG home phone to their Talk 3 with Broadband. We had broadband with Tiscali at the time.

We asked for info in the post, and clarified multiple times that no change would take place until we confirmed, following receipt of written details of the package.

Well surprise surprise today the Tiscali goes dead and on calling TalkTalk we've been moved over to them, no written notice, nothing. Also, it seems our original account isn't there, but a new account with the Talk 3 and Broadband was created.

Well after being on the phone for over an hour Robin was going to call me back tomorrow, because there's long queues for the cancellations dept. I'm wondering if I shouldn't pre-empt that by sending an e-mail to friend Dunstone + calling the number above?

We just want to go back to the way things were, line rental with TT, pay as you go phone and Internet with Tiscali.

Otelo will only assist you once a deadlock letter has been issued. This can only be issued by the High level complaints department within talktalk

Well, some progress but not much. the promised call never arrived so I wrote to Charles Dunstone, got a reply from someone at the CEO team who are going to initiate an investigation. Waiting to see what happens.
The full story here: http://blog.patwanet.co.uk (post dated 19 July). I'm posting this link so I don't have to repeat myself here.

The number is 0800-049-5743. They will ask you where you got the number from - just say Oftel.

Just to let you know this number is no longer available as tryed to call it and it says "This number is no longer in use, please call CS on 0870 ... ...." so they now have an expensive 0870 for u to call :mad:

Try 02086174697. It's the number for the top level complaints team and they get cases assigned to them from Charles Dunstone.

The number goes to the voicemail of Tara Swmith, who's the leader of the team. Her hours are 9-5:30 Mon-Fri.

From my conversations with her she seems to be on the ball and doesn't try to push you to stay with TalkTalk every minute like the normal CS guys do. She also handles the cases personally so you'll be dealing with her and not CS.

my talktalk saga has been dragging on for nearly a year now.

this morning "corporate credit media ltd" (the third collection agency) sent a letter saying "A decision has now been made to pass your details to our Field Agents so that they can attend your property in order to collect the debt in full."

the previous two agencies threatened legal action but never did. i want talktalk to take me to court! dunce-stone never answered my last letter and i've got tons of correspondence i would like to go through with a judge.

every time the alleged debt is sold on, it doubles. it is currently almost four times the originally claimed amount.

my question: since there has never been any court involvement, what will "Field Agents" base their claim on should they appear at my door?

    any answers much appreciated.
  • When I think of talktalks harassment comes quickly to mind!

If talktalk won't take anyone to court then perhaps they should be taken to court. Any ideas very welcome:mad:

I am in the same position as the previous post - sorry didn't remember to write down your name. :o Working my way around the posting on the forum and liable to loose my messages!

Thanks to all of you for posted most helpful messages:T.
