    UPDATE.
phoned barclaycard while relaxing in the sun.
asked for an update on my claim to be told a letter was sent out on the 11th saying my claim had failed, and the reasons why.
never received letter,as i'm guessing they never posted it, and they wouldnt explain over the phone why i'd not won my claim, just that they would send out another copy.
    (another delaying tactic)
told them ,ok fos it is, and see you in court if needed.
didnt sound bothered at the other end of the line, and was happy to get rid of me.
thanks barclaycard for making me wait 16 weeks to be told "no".
i know i've got a good case, you know i've got a good case, but lets make him wait another few months before we pay out.
ITS MY MONEY,YOU CONNED ME OUT OF IT,SO PAY UP.

any advice now would be helpfull, got letter coming from the fos, only got few statements from account i'm claiming for,but all show ppi on them.

my reasons for my claim are:

    1. i was told at point of sale in branch that i couldnt have credit card unless i had the ppi part. "no ppi no card." . if i'd know it was optional i wouldn't have left it on my account for the full time i held it. wasnt until all this ppi scandal came out that i realised i was mis sold it.

    2. didnt need ppi as i had been in full employment for over 7 years, had one months full sick pay,and full pay if off with serious injury.

    3. if i was made redundant ,i had over seven years of redundancy pay coming to me,which would have covered the balance of my credit card, and would have been paid off in full.

"posted this on other common threads too, sorry if repeating myself. just trying to get help and hopefully it helps others ."

Bloomick why do barclaycard make you wait so long then simply reject your claim, I'm just wondering now if they've bothered to send my rejection letter as I'm still waiting for it and I cannot go to the fos until I have it aarrgghhhh

    i get same feeling.
if i hadn't bothered to wait 20 mins today to get through to them,i would never had known about the letter sent on the 11th(because it never was sent, and they had no plans to send it til i rung them),would have been another few weeks til i took my time to find out,and now i'll be sat waiting til there re-sent letter comes to me before i can start my claim through the fos.

so annoying,so wrong, were only asking for something back that was worthless to us. not asking much really,so why make it so hard.............
because the goverment rolls over like normal and lets the banks get away with it as dont want to rock the boat and upset them.
banks run this country, and the goverment and us know it.
even when we know were in the right,we get one brick wall after another. i will not be beaten,i know when i'm in the right, and with this ppi claim i am in the right.

Guess I'm gonna have to ring them again and wait a very long time on hold to find out were my letter is, are barclaycard just rejecting every ppi complaint as a matter of standard now then, because that's what it's looking like, is it any wonder barclays have a 99% overturn rate with the fos...I've already had one ppi misseling selling up held for the same reasons as my barclaycard one, it's pretty obvious there not treating there customers fairly....my reasons were pretty similar to yours kjd35aqua except in my case the ppi box was pre ticked and I had a pre existing medical condition (arthritis in my spine) which would have made it impossible for me to claim..I also would have got 6 months full and 6 months half pay, have a generous life insurance policy with my employer, had worked for the same firm for years and still do, so would have got redundancy that would have allowed me to pay of the card...

I'm so angry with barclaycard right now maybe they think we won't bother to take it to the fos because of the wait....

Just called BC to confirm that they had received my claim which I sent 24th April as not had any letter. They said they are investigating but I have to wait.
On the plus side though, I was told that I have had PPI since 1997:eek:

I've eventually recieved my rejection letter after waiting 2weeks for that to arrive, my complaint has now been sent to the fos fingers crossed

I found this article, proving that barclaycard are wrongly rejecting ppi complaints forcing people to go to the FOS unnecessary, I notice they also recieved the most complaints, just look at there uphold rate with the fos..

I'm having a problem with Barclaycard as well. Apparently the two acknowledgement letters they have sent out to me have gone astray, even though it was to the right address, I've lived there years and my neighbours and postman know me well so if it had gone to someone else's house they would have posted it through my door. They were sending a third copy by registered mail and also my 8 weeks was up yesterday.....
