Yes, you're right, it probably would need some of the extra software, if it's not covered by their 'Essential tools', then might just allow basic scan and print functions.
and yes, removing the install via the cd was another option,
But glad to hear a good old remove/reinstall did the trick ,

I tried to update mine a week or so ago using the link that Kodak supplied but when the downlod approached 175 MB I had to abort has I was perilously close to my monthly bandwidth allowance. (I really must get round to changeing my ISP to one with a more generous allowance). I will have to uninstall what is there and instal the original software that came with the printer.
If anyone has successfully installed the update, what are the advantages, any additional bells & whistles ?0 -
