Oh Kantankrus Mare (brill name you've got! :D) that reminds me of another shop one. Cashiers who put your shopping through the till and then sit and stare at you and don't tell you what the bill is! I first noticed this a few years ago and it's becoming common practice. I just find it really rude!

I work on a till in a charity shop and I always say "that's £3.20 please" and thank them when they give me the money, then I tell them how much change I'm handing back. Not much work is it?
Public appearances now involve clothing. Sorry, it's part of my bail conditions.
  • Sales assistants who start conversations with other staff (or answer the phone), whilst serving you.

Assuming I haven't yet paid for it, I tend to leave my stuff at the till, and walk out.

Before I leave the counter I wait until they look at me, then I say "I am sorry to have been a nuisance", pure sarcasm but its good fun and maybe makes them think!
When did problems become "Issues"?

Not sure if this is a "manners" issue but on the subject of sales assistants, my personal hate is assistants who lick their fingers when they open carrier bags - that is just GROSS! Please do not put your spit onto the carrier bag you are about to hand over to me!!!!!!!!!!
