sistercas your DD looks great. My son leaves tomorrow but ive already warned him. He can come back home with as much egg, flour, best wishes penned all over his clothes as he wants as i can just chuck them in the bin as he has more than one set but ive told him under no circumstances is he allowed to wreck his blazer. He will need to wear that to go back into school to do his resits. I must take a picture of the state he comes home in LOL.
I think when he has completed his exams we will have the ritualistic burning of the school text books. :rotfl:
That reminds me, ive got to sort out a tux for him to wear at his school prom. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Hi all.
((((HUGS))) for all who are hurting/poorly/worried/sad today. There are still far too many to list, and I'd hate to omit a name.
JackieO Personally, I am convinced that they still hold parties over in the Summerlands; we always raise a glass or three to people who have made their journey, on special days, too.:o
Sistercas I love DD's outfit!:rotfl:
Judi when I left school, I had a huge bonfire with all my exercise books.;)
Still doing my housework one-handed; I shall be glad in a way when we're on holiday! Although I hope the shoulder isn't so painful as to spoil said holiday, iyswim.:o
Hark! That sounded like the letterbox - better go and see what horrors Postie has delivered today......
ETA: It's OK, just one piece of post today, which contained £3 in luncheon vouches, for doing an online survey.:money:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Hi all.
Having a break from the ironing. Yes, you read that right, I am determined to get a good lot done today in the hopes that it will spur me on to get it finished before the end of the week.
JackieO: Hope you have a lovely day filled with happy memories.
Beemuzed: What is it with people who suddenly get a taste of power? It annoys me intensely when hospitals behave as though patients' family have no right to any information, or try to palm them off with stupid platitudes that are patently not true. Do they think we are all stupid? Hope you get the the info you need.
No idea what we are eating today. Well, I can't iron AND cook can I?
Guess I'll gather up all the manky bits in the fridge, chuck a cheese sauce over them, mix with pasta and throw into oven.
Yum yum, I can hardly wait!

Evening All
Not a lot done today apart from one load of washing which has dried on the line.
We had our main dinner at lunch time, chicken, sweetcorn and mushrooms rolled into tortillas and topped with white sauce and some parmesan with a side salad. So no cooking or washing up tonight, it is all done:D.
beemuzed, some of these hospital sisters are really nasty:mad:, I would complain about her attitude especially as you are so worried about DS, honestly it doesn't take much to be civil. I am hoping that all is well with DS ((((Hugs)))) x
JackieO I hope your family get together goes well, what a lovely way to remember Alan (((((Hugs))))) x
bargainbird Thank you x
But you sound like you have had a frazzled day ((((Hugs))))
We have cleared a small corner of the garden for Boxy, we are just waiting to hear from the vet to say when his ashes can be collected, I know it costs more money but we couldn't face bringing his body home yesterday. We are all just so heartbroken, a lot of people would say he was only a rabbit, but no, he had delusions of dog hood, he would jump up on our laps or give us a lick, he was house trained as well and had a lovely nature.Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Adelight well done on finishing your dissertation and good wishes for tomorrow. Bitsy our Lab Jack is always eating rubbish and getting tummy upsets, such a pain we give him a light diet of rice and white fish or chicken to give his tummy a rest. Hope your son is better soon Beemuzed and that you get some answers from the doctors.
