    Will I be ok or have to swim the channel

    I've been reassured by 2 dfds staff on 2 separate occasions but no-one here has ever been this moneysavingly cheeky AND successful regarding dfds

    Got an email saying no chance. Can't do that at norfolkline so I've just rang up to change and amend the bookings and they have told me for a third time that it is perfectly fine to do this !!!

    Never ever going to attempt to pull this stunt again

    Never trust the word of a call centre "agent".

    Always get anything like this confirmed to you in writing!

    I still reckon when you check in for the return leg of the journey you'll be stuck - doesn't matter what 'Janet' said, rules are rules....
