Virgin Media Sim Offer better than 02

  • Just wondering, can you get this offer for a different member of your household, as I can't personally get this yet as I'm under contract with Vodafone until Feb next year (I think) but someone else could stand to save a lot with this, any idea?

yes you can get it for another member of the family ( not sure if it's 2 or 3 sims now per account) but the money will come out of the account holder's bank account.i have 2 in my name cos my daughter went onto the deal.she just gives me the money every month.had thought abt my son but he'd just abuse the sim-and i wouldn't want an xtra 50 quid coming out the bank

I entered a random account number in and it still went through to the ordering page at https://www.virginmobile.com/vm/webLanding/vmWithCable.do - I wonder what would happen if you went ahead and ordered even if you aren't a Virgin Media cable customer (like me)?
This space has been intentionally left blank
  • I went to have a look at the ordering page myself, and the box for account number seemed to have me one digit short of my whole account number, which was weird. Maybe I'll ring them up instead...
  • when i ordered mine he said i could reduce my limit to 0 to just call when i recieved my sim's
if this information proves to be wrong ile be complaining and with the amazing reduction i just recieved of my tv account because we lost the sky channels maybe ile get one off the sims account or am i now pushing it to far...lol
Which came first the chicken or the egg....suppose it depends on which one is mispriced...i know not funny :o

    This is blo**dy confusing!

First thing first! I am not connected to Virgin anyhow, dont have their cable, phones or sim. Can I stillg et the deal? Someone above stated that they went trhoguh by typing in a random account number, if it does go through will I be able to get it still?

Who has this deal? If so are you a cable customer?

Look's like a top deal to me!

You have to be a Virgin Media (Cable) customer to get it. You are taking out a contract. (One months notice applies) .You will be subject to a credit check. If you leave Virgin Media (Cable) the tariff increases to original non discounted price. Its a sim card only, and will only fit suitable unlocked mobile.

It is a great deal if you can get it, but there have been lots of problems with existing NTL customers. I applied for this back in October and I’m still trying to sort the mess out with them now. Prior to this, I had been a Virgin Mobile customer for 6 years + on contract without problems and without any need to contact customer services.

However, as I've learned, customer service is really pants when stuff goes wrong. I must have 20 emails full of promises of next day delivery (that never happens) and apologies. I did manage to get one letter out of them a couple of weeks ago, complete with spelling mistakes and grammatical errors. Unfortunately, it was limited to a grovelling apology admitting a catalogue of errors and mistakes but not actually attempting to correct a single one of them.

It's so frustrating as I know a lot of people have been able to get this deal without any problems, it seems I'm one of the unlucky ones in this case. I'm not giving up though :)
  • thanks for that lee i havent recieved them yet but i am thinking that i may have a few problems an that wont be anything new for me with ntl/VM

an for those that hate txing tx as its called im sorry i try to spell each word properly but sometimes one or two slip no need to be so catty about it tho

im sure we all use abriviations in one form or another and this site is about money matters not spelling at least it was a mistake that was still understood
