Secondly, is there a way to get better deals on a monthly paid contract or only with Orange?
You can download an app which will run in the background and count all data useage, you can set it to warn you when you're approaching your daily/weekly/monthly limit.
You should turn off data roaming at all times that you're not browsing.
Also, As of July this year Orange (and all other networks) will be reducing the cost of data roaming as EU laws will restrict it to €0.70 per MB. That's about 56p so much less than the £3 they charge currently.0 -
