Nothing for me all weekend. I've been away visiting the folks and hoped to come home to a nice pile of SDN emails. No such luck I'm afraid. I did sell a beginners Latin course book for a nice sum last week though.

Wow folks are doing well!!! I am managing to stagger along averaging one a day which is fine as long as it continues. I listed a few more over the weekend which I hope will boost stuff.
Did manage to sell a 99p book over 2 and a half pages of 1p offerings though so am rather chuffed about that! Not sold anything expensive though - all under a tenner - but it all mounts up, I am telling myself!

I've been in the Amazon wilderness for such a long time, I thought I'd been struck off! ;)

Had my first sale in ages - another Chalet Girl book. I think it's a repeat buyer as well as the name and address sounds familiar.

Typical though - I've run out of ink so I'll be looking for a cheap supplier! :o I used to get them through one of my husband's workmates but he's moved jobs and lost touch now. Wonder where is best for Quidco cashback and value for money! ;)

Do most of the people on here just sell off spare items from their house that they do not want anymore or do you go around charity shops and buy cheap items to sell on amazon? If the latter do you make much money or are most of the items worth about what you paid for them and so make no profit?

Also what are the best things to sell? Ive listed a few games that i dont want anymore but have only sold one and it doesnt look like i will sell anymore. I would like to start looking around the charity shops for bargain books to make a profit on but does it work in reality?

Also do you just go into the charity shops to have a look around and buy what you think will sell or do you go in there knowing what you are looking for and hoping or even go in there have a look, check what they are worth then go back and buy them?

    Hope you can help Thanks

Wow that was a lot of questions ! ;)

I personally use charity shops only now for my stock and have had some varied success, i have books i paid 10p for and sold for £3-£4 profit and those that have only sold at a penny and given 2p after costs. It all depends on the area as much as anything, mine seem to have some real gems (a stephen king first under his pen-name for 10p) but then other areas ive been to they are all tatty rubbish that they want 95P for !

read this thread closely and you will get some hints but its all really trial and error, pick a price you are prepared to pay and stick to it (i wont spend over 60p and it has to be special ) avoid any catherine cookson et al and try and get ones that arent creased to hell

    good luck ;)
