    I thought that card looked cheap. The previous one with a green and blue splash on it was much more stylish.

    People do see your card, for example when you pay at a restaurant and they bring the chip and pin terminal to your table and then put your card in while they put in the amount you have to pay. Maybe for you, never for me, I always pay cash in a restaurant.

    I always get remarks on my Barclays and Halifax cards as they have pictures on that I took and had printed on them via the personalised card facilities these banks offer. I like my first direct card as its just a plain black card. But those people who comment will see the card for, ohhhhh, 20 seconds or so, so does their opinion on what it looks like really matter?

    Most people like to have a nice card design, hence why some people have platinum and also the fancy Amex Platinum card, purely as a status symbols. That's just sad. Those people need to get a life if they use their cards as status symbols. Maybe they need bigger todgers or breasts for starters.

    Each to there own and everyone is different with different tastes!!!

    I agree with your last sentence, but we're talking about PLASTIC BANK CARDS, not houses, or cars, or clothes, or holidays, or phones, or anything else sad people would like to pose with.

    "Shock horror, I've run out of milk and there is only 1 slice of bread left, but woe betide me I simply cannot go out and get shopping incase the cashier sees my bank card as it is sooooooooooo embarrassing! :o:o:o:o:o"

    It's ridiculous! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

  • Fear not! I contacted Lloyds on twitter and the person replying said the design would be changed at the end of 2012 - so tweet them in January and see if the new design is out.
