Morning all,
happy birthday to the birthday Miss. I hope she has a lovely day. Thinking of your son Molly41 in his exams. I hope he manages to keep himself together enough to concentrate. My son is doing exams too and i know what your going through as a parent. Incidently my first experience of 'loss' was a guinea pig called Timmy. I was about 7 or 8 i should imagine and i cried loads when he died.
I will be giving my rotary line a test run today.:rotfl:Need to pop out at some point and get a couple of washing baskets that stack. I need to replace the one i have at present thats used for the dirty laundry as its a bit long in the tooth and i need one to take the laundry outside.
Hubby changes his job on Monday. Back to his old employer with his old site foreman. A tip. Never send your hubby to work with a giant rhubarb crumble for him and the lads he works with to share.... Ever since ive had requests for cakes every time he works with them. Ive told them i dont make cakes but the requests still come flooding in. Apparently their wives dont bake but as ive told them. Women of today have a million and one things to fit in around kids and a part time/full time job and i am fortunate ive got the time to do things that i want to (or need to). I must admit ive got a good relationship with the lads he is working with on Monday, despite never meeting them they send me text funnies on a regular basis. One of them gets married in December and i look forward to putting faces to the names.
Still battling plaster dust mixed in with dog hairs at the moment. Both are equally annoying but i'm working on it.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Hi.
Quick visit today as The Rev is just making us coffee before we go out.
Did quite a bit of the 'to-do' list yesterday but did not do any gardening - sunny but gale force winds. No church magazine progress either. Ironing? You must be joking, no huge dent in it, not even a tiny dimple.
Got on the scales this morning.:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
Chicken salad for lunch. Cottage cheese and water for tea.
Love to all and happy birthday little 6 year-old BB.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Morning All
DH had to scrape the windscreen this morning before he went off to work. I wish this weather would make up its mind, I have washing in the machine, but I don't know whether to risk putting it out or not. "Never cast a clout 'til May is out" is a wise old saying.
Our beloved rabbit has started falling over to one side and we have an emergency appointment with the vet at 2pm. I think he is nearing the end bless him, he has fought so hard the last six weeks

Oh Butterfly I am so sorry xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Molly sorry about Squeaky  We keep piggies too, it horrible when they go. Our little old lady Molly is quite weak, I think her hearing's nearly gone, her sight's going and she's losing weight. But she's eating and drinking, loves a cuddle and is still warbling when you speak to her. Every morning the first thing I do is check on her to make sure she's still breathing..........
Yes as long as they have a quality of life. It was only yesterday that she stopped chatting and declined her lettuce. I knew instantly that we would lose her. Anyway we will be getting some more as we have a very lonely younger piggy this morningI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.

Molly lived with Lily, who died a little while ago. Molly seemed lonely so I was going to get a new girl, have her done then put them together. When Molly dies, the newbie could go in with the boys. But she doesn't like being around other pigs now - I think she's wary of speed, noise, etc. So her cage is next to the boys' cage and they chatter away to each otherWhen she's tired, she hides away in her little house.

Hi all.
Redruby I bought a dehumidifier getting on for a year ago, as I was so sick of mopping up condensation off all the window sills, and it's virtually eliminated the problem. You can use the water you collect for plants, too!:o
Hoppy Birdday to young Miss Bargainbird
ButterflyBrain Hope the runny babbit is at least comfortable.
Judi when Mr LW worked in Rugby, I made the mistake of sending in HM Welsh Tartlets for him and his colleagues one time - they never stopped asking for more home cooking!! It was quite funny in a way, one of his colleagues was a devout Muslim, and this chap happily devoured a tartlet, then panicked in case it wasn't Halal. Luckily, being a vegetarian myself, I don't use lard in my pastry, so there was no doubt that he was OK, and didn't need to do penance.:D I carefully didn't send in any mince pies, as my HM mincemeat has brandy in it, and the gentleman in question wouldn't have been able to partake.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
