    Afternoon fellow compers.

My post consisted of.............................a Union Jack chapstick!

    Better than nothing though.

Had a problem yesterday when the shower packed up, as we don't have a bath that's really difficult. OH was in it all soaped up at the time. Thought it was going to cost £150 for a new one but we called a local electrician who fixed it for £30, it was the pull switch in the ceiling not the shower itself, so that was a relief. I was really surprised at how quick and cheap he was, we'll be making a note of his number for sure.

Aw bless my niece, she's in hospital and she got her pic took holding Olympic torch with a N/E Olympic coach :)

Did your OH manage to get the soap off him then before they came to fix it? :D glad you got it sorted. My daft hubby put our pull cord high up so the kids can't reach it but nether can I! I have to pull the scales under it then jump to reach it! :o I wish I'd married a builder! :p

He had to 'flannel' it off at the bathroom sink :D Glad it was him and not me, although washing my hair at the kitchen sink with jugs of water was no picnic.

Just had an email from someone from a company I did a survey with...only they did a mass email and now everytime someone replies to the email, I get an email with their reply.

The original message wants postal addresses so they can send info so if anyone replies with their email, then the rest of the people they emailed would get it too!

That's bad, there's a really big fine for Companies who don't abide by the Data Protection Act and keep people's details safe, and I mean really huge!

I let her know and she apologised and said that the emails were meant to go in the Bcc section, but it still doesn't excuse the fact that it happened!

I don't think the FSA would accept a simple apology as sufficient somehow. These Companies seem to think they can say 'sorry' and it will all be okay.
